Description

Everland Fish & Chips has garnered a range of opinions recently, highlighting the duality of its service. While some patrons relish the warm, friendly atmosphere and appreciate the nostalgic charm of the long-standing establishment, others have been disappointed by inconsistent food quality—citing overcooked fish and greasy chips. Service issues, particularly with online orders and food delivery, have further tainted the experience for some loyal customers. Despite the setbacks, many still recognize the shop as a reliable option in the area, suggesting that with time and adjustments, Everland may regain its former glory.

Just ordered 3 chippy suppers. Arrived super quick, perfectly cooked, generous portions, will definitely be using Everland again. Thanks

This is a good fish and chip shop that has recently moved from across the market. Although it may face competition from Jones' nearby, it is a reliable alternative. The best option for parking is to use the spaces on St George's Crescent in front of the doctor's surgery, the pay and display opposite those spaces, the car park to the left of the chippy (not the Tŷ Pawb one, but the council car park next to it), or the 30-minute parking spots in front of the chippy. Parking is free in council car parks after 11am.

I went in and ordered a small chips, battered sausage an pot of curry sauce. I got told to wait a minute (I assumed they were making the chips fresh), anyway... She returned 10 minutes later and started scooping chips that had been sat there on the side into a tray. I eat chippy quite often and these luke warm chips tasted exactly how they looked, dry, old and some even burnt. The battered sausage had some burnt bits and some not cooked. The curry was standard, nothing special! It's not exactly cheap for a chippy these days so you expect a bit more effort. There wasn't any smiles or anything even though we were the only customers they had. I hope they were having an off day but just from that experience, there's not a chance I'd go back. £7.10. I hate to give a bad review, but this wasn't expectable unfortunately!
