As for kid-friendliness, the staff is incredibly kind and they prepare great food. There's really nothing else to add!
I genuinely wanted to love my experience at this restaurant, but the acoustics were lacking. Alternatively, it would have been great if the staff could have intervened to calm down the two kids who were having a yelling contest while grinning at each other. I ended up with a headache, so I took my chicken fried steak to go and enjoyed it in my car, which was fantastic. I really wished I could have savored it somewhere other than my vehicle. I appreciated the staff and the food—definitely worth a visit!
The window sills had dead flies, and the food was only mediocre. I ordered a breakfast burrito, but it was essentially just an egg omelette wrapped in a tortilla and covered in canned green chili, with some hash browns on the side. I would recommend looking for a different place if you have the option. The service was average—nothing particularly wrong, but nothing that would inspire me to come back if I were in the area again.
The diner food was just average. Three of us ordered the biscuits and gravy, but we only took a few bites because we weren't impressed. The hamburger gravy wasn't my favorite either. On a positive note, I really enjoyed the oatmeal; it was very good. The cinnamon roll was also enjoyable. The eggs were just okay.
