I thought they were open when I walked into the restaurant, and was told that they open in 10 minutes and was allowed to remain inside. I asked if they did to go orders and was allowed to order right away View all feedback.
What Melissa Goldenstein doesn't like about La Familia:
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant and try to come in when is am in town. I was very disappointed that the hours they are actually open differ from the hours posted online and therefore missed being able to get my favorite Beef and Cheese Sopapilla by 4 minutes. The website states they close at 7 pm and they close at 1:30 pm. Wildly disappointed, but will of course be back for their amazing food next time I am in town... View all feedback.

If I would've been able to get my sopapilla it would've gotten a five star review but I am hangry while writing this. Bummed about incorrect hours being posted online. Please fix this so that others know as well.
The food was well prepared and tasted good. However, both times we visited (a couple months apart) we had to giggly off flies couldn’t enjoy eating. Since we were visiting town we didn’t really have an option of ordering takeout.
I 've been eating at La Familia since it opened. We especially love the stuffed beef and cheese sopapillas and you can 't get them anywhere else. (I 've looked in several states and probably hundreds of restaurants. Anyway I was there for my class reunion during Wray Daze and got the idea to bring that back to my sister in Texas, who hasn 't had one for 14 years. The staff was fantastic I got 2 large ones and everyone knew why. I fr4oze them, then brought them home and put them in my freezer here. Today I gave my sister her surprise. She was overwhelmed, first thinking I 'd found someplace here that made them, then that I 'd brought her the original from Wray. She heated them in her air fryer, and said it crisped it up beautifully. She was so excited to have a taste of home. Thank you, La Familia staff, for making this such fun when I bought them, and such a great experience for my sis! I 'll be back next reunion if not before!
Place is dirty inside, carpet roached, not a great feel. Sopapilla looked and tasted like it was fried in oil that should have been changed long ago. No salsa, guacamole, or sour cream included in our take out. Would not go back.
