This was the first time I'd ever visited a Mexican restaurant where they give complimentary bean dip with the chips as well as salsa. It was very tasty to boot. We weren't starving so we got the appetizer sampler to split and we only ate about 3/4 of it before we were stuffed. So in other words, it was huge. I don't think the picture does it justice. The beer was nice and cold too. The waitress made us wait for longe... View all feedback.
What Ameenah P doesn't like about B-rad's 2nd Floor Dive:
I was not impressed. I did not enjoy the house-made tortillas and though I ordered the shrimp/steak/chicken fajitas, it was 70% onions and peppers. The taste was ok but certainly not authentic Mexican. The rice was ok but virtually flavorless. I feel like Goya rice is better than this. You get a lot of rice and tiny sides of lettuce, salsa, guacamole and cheese. Overall, I'm not impressed. We also ordered chips with... View all feedback.
We tried the raspberry margarita special for $6.50, which was fantastic. For our main courses, we ordered the Macho Burrito, the Casa Trio, and the Cam Vallarta with grilled chicken, no mushrooms, and no beans. Every dish was excellent, served hot, fresh, and with incredibly generous portions! Seriously, the portion sizes are large enough to share, even for a man. The Casa Trio featured three proteins: steak with grilled onions, mushrooms, shrimp with mushrooms, and grilled chicken with smoked jalapeño, accompanied by rice and beans—all for $25. The Cam Vallarta, priced at $19, included shrimp and chicken with zucchini and colorful carrots in a delicious sauce, along with some cheese, rice, and a small salad. The Macho Burrito, at $11, was gigantic, filled with chicken, rice, and beans, topped with cheese. I will definitely return to this place the next time I'm in the area!
Casa Hacienda used to be located on the west side of town, but they moved to their new location about two years ago. The restaurant features classic Mexican decor, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The servers are friendly and attentive. My favorite dish is the Shrimp Diablo, which is always delicious. What sets this place apart is that they make their tortillas in-house, ensuring they are incredibly fresh. All entrees are served with a side of rice and beans, although that's not shown in the photos. The tortillas are soft and pillowy, a true delight. They also offer a great selection of drinks.
I stop by Casa Hacienda every now and then, but I've never written a review before—must have slipped my mind. Here’s a tip: if you ever have clogged sinuses, order their ceviche appetizer. It will clear you up in under two minutes, just be sure to ask for it non-spicy! I’m not sure what they marinate the shrimp in, but it tastes like hot sauce rather than citrus juice. Alternatively, they might not marinate it at all. The shrimp looked pre-cooked, which is not how proper ceviche should be prepared—ceviche is meant to be a cold cooking method! Once my mouth cooled down, I quickly enjoyed my fajitas, which were quite tasty, especially paired with iced tea. Overall, I would recommend Casa Hacienda to anyone; they’ve always satisfied me, even if the ceviche was a bit off. It wasn’t disappointing exactly, just different. It’s a pity because the other local place that serves ceviche doesn’t offer it as an appetizer. That’s fine if that’s all you’re looking for, but today, I wanted a bit more.
We dined at casa hacienda grill for dinner after visiting the Columbus Zoo. We only waited a short time for a table. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. All of our food was delicious. I got the chicken fajita quesadilla and it was wonderful. The portions are huge. We were very pleased and happy we decided on here for dinner.

The beer was nice and cold too. The waitress made us wait for longer than I would've liked after we got served though. It took a while for her to check on us and then for the bill at the end. Despite that, I would still visit here again next time I'm in Columbus.
