Contribute FeedbackWhile Worthing offers a vibrant pub scene, experiences can vary significantly. Some establishments provide a lively atmosphere, reasonable prices, and friendly service, making them perfect for sports events or family gatherings. However, certain venues fall short, with overpriced drinks, unengaged staff, and troubling incidents that raise concerns about inclusivity and service quality. Many recommend spots that balance good food and ambiance, particularly for a night out or a casual bite. As visitors navigate their options, they’ll find both delightful experiences and notable disappointments, highlighting the importance of attentive and respectful service in hospitality.
I recently had a wonderful lunch with my family, spanning five generations from my Mum to my great grandson. We all enjoyed our food and found the prices to be very reasonable. A special thanks to Ash for providing us with excellent service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I recently had an amazing Halloween night out with friends at this restaurant. Our server, Kelly, provided excellent service and was extremely friendly. It was a fantastic place to spend time with friends. We had a wonderful evening.
This pub is a great spot for a Friday night, with decent beer options. However, my experience was marred by a disappointing incident. My black girlfriend and I were denied service because the bartender claimed I was intoxicated. The fact that they sell alcohol makes this reasoning questionable. I am currently dealing with mobility issues due to a hip and knee injury, not alcohol. This display of racism and ableism by the staff member is concerning and they should take time to self-reflect on their actions.
We in Worthing for a couple of nights so went round a few pubs. Unfortunately this was the worst. Drinks were quite expensive when we were finally served (the loud-mouthed barman seemed more interested in trying to impress his obviously bored colleagues than in actually doing his job). We played a few games of pool but the table and cues were poor, there was no chalk, and it was £1.50 a game! One to avoid.
Great central Worthing location. Came for drinks and a bite to eat with friends to watch the football. Reasonable prices and the food is what you expect for what you pay. Very busy as the football was on, but it serves a purpose. Recommend if on a budget and wanting to watch some sport.
