I adore visiting this place whenever I'm in Worthing. It's a cozy little spot with welcoming staff. The owner, John, is a fascinating person and a delight to converse with. The hot drinks are soothing, and I plan on trying their breakfast next time. I can't wait! View all feedback.
What 379sandyp doesn't like about Passion Fruit Cafe:
This cafe is probably the dirtiest I've ever been to, even compared to dining in the jungles of Thailand 40 years ago. The kitchen, plates, cups, and spoons were all filthy. My partner and I ordered a flat white and a cappuccino, but both arrived in dirty cups, served by the untidy-looking owner. While the cafe may have an eclectic atmosphere, it is definitely filthy. This cafe is situated at 25 New Broadway, Tarring Road, approximately half a mile west of the map location. Despite the distance, it is definitely worth the extra effort to visit this unique spot run by its welcoming owner. Not only that, the menu offers delicious food at affordable prices.
This restaurant offers a beautiful ambiance, delicious food, and great coffee. The 50s Wurlitzer jukebox filled with classics adds to the charm of the place. The owner, John, is friendly and serves up innovative dishes made with locally sourced and homemade ingredients. I highly recommend stopping by for a coffee, a chat, and whatever delicious dish is on the daily menu.
I decided to try Streets after hearing good reviews. Surprisingly, it was closed at 1:30 pm on a Saturday. Instead, I visited Passion Fruit, which has unique opening hours. I was warmly greeted and seated at a communal table. After discussing the menu, I opted for the full English breakfast. The meal was promptly served and consisted of a generous platter with all the classic elements of a traditional English breakfast - crispy bacon, sausage, black pudding, eggs, fried potatoes, toast, and assorted vegetables. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, making it the best English breakfast I've had in years, even compared to high-end hotels. It was a wonderful dining experience.
This cafe is probably the smallest I have ever been to. The owner mentioned that they have odd hours and are open whenever the tables are out on the forecourt. They specialize in pizza and pies, served with tea from a communal pot. The atmosphere is filled with ephemera and there is a Wurlitzer jukebox playing hits from the 1950s and 1960s. Most customers will share the communal table that seats around six people, but there are also tables for two inside and outside. I definitely plan on returning.
