Was in Worthing just and I had to visit The Original Chipwick because of it's reputation...and it didn't disappoint. The Sausage and chips I ordered as a takeaway were supurb.Great quality sausages, some of the best chip shop chips I've ever eaten and a lovely curry sauce..and all that for £10.50?..Great price.Add to that great stuff and wonderful service and you have one of the best fish and chippy's on the south coast.I will definitely be paying another visit here when I next come to Worthing.
This evening we had a takeaway: Whitebait, calamary, reg chips, reg haddock, tartare sauce, thai fish cake. £39 of order. We were very happy to be back and using Chipwick, as we leave not too far. Haddock, whitebait and tartare sauce fresh. I’m sure even the other two items were fresh as well. Too fresh that the fishcake was raw inside: homemade for sure but just a fish+mash potatoes patty big like an adult hand and uncooked. The calamari were way too much oily that to try to eat it we started to take out the coating. I’m sure the young chef was feeling the pressure of a 7pm rush (5 orders before us but this is not a justification for cooking a raw dish and one that is too oily. Maybe the oil wasn't ready or some new oil had been added to the fryer? You don't expect this service from an award-winning restaurant. When called, the staff was kind when they offered us to prepare another portion of fishcake, which we refused only to avoid going out in the rain to get it. Another complaint is that the female staff at the till should have their hair tied up, not touch it in front of customers and then prepare food without washing their hands. It is not a good practice in a food area!!! Chipwick as a restaurant has not lost us as customers (the fish is always fresh not frozen! but we hope, next time, to find all the food at the best standards that have characterized this place all these years.
First it's open on a Sunday, it's very clean and we were greeted by very friendly staff. Our food was cooked fresh and we had a very tasty cod and chips. Complimentary cutlery and a short 30 second walk to eat on the beach. Great all rounder!
Beautiful meal but the onion rings are half homemade proper onion other half are frozen onion flavour which was not expected in a lovely place like this.
Chipwicks in Worthing offers impeccable fish and chips. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make for a welcoming experience. Fresh dishes arrive promptly with perfect fish and flavorful chips. Top-notch service from Louis and George adds to the charm. Prices are reasonable for generous portions. A great place for traditional fish and chips, as well as other fresh seafood options. Clean facilities and a quick walk to the beach make Chipwicks a fantastic choice for a delicious meal. High-quality food, stellar service, and an all-around pleasant dining experience make Chipwicks a must-visit establishment in Worthing.

Visited on a Friday evening without reservation with the family. that was not a problem, the staff found us a table and were very friendly. that was nice and the portions were very considerable. very efficient service, clean and neat restaurant, would highly recommend
That is the best of the best. evaluations can not do food-friendly. If you didn't try this place, don't hang around. it is amazing!. fresh, beautifully cooked and great service. Get down there.
We've found it before and found it a hidden gem. it's still one. we gave up the chance on a table and had luck getting the last one. I went for cod and chips and chose my wife. the monk in a tomato sauce from the specials. I have to hear the last of it, because she's so happy with her choice. my kot has covered the plate almost with the chips underneath. I have a big appatite and it almost beat me, although I had to have one more mouthful, as it was so fresh and well cooked. {light and fluffy with a cripple outside the staff are all friendly and attentive to the best level. we even had an apology for the late, as the monk had to be cooked seperately, although it was worth waiting. not sure how they go, how they serve from pm and the resturant never under half fully emptied with a constant takeaway service while we were there. would come back -booking a table, the milkshake, wein with the carafe, miss breakfast.
Fabulous fish and chips and homemade desserts our third time to chipwicks and it's always perfect great service. everything freshly cooked completely recommend
We had family over during the Christmas holidays and I ordered fish and chips for everyone and set off to collect minutes in car). When I returned I handed over to the wife to plate up in front of the guests and was...disappointed to find we were missing a cod.I phoned Chipwick to tell them of my dissatisfaction and they agreed to refund my CC half the total months later I have not received a penny.I felt conned so I called my CC who have kindly refunded the amount I was charged but did not receive the goods for.Always check what's in the bad before leaving Chipwick to avoid disappointment when you get your takeaway home. Needless to say we or anyone we know will not be returning to Chipwick.Wayne, Lancing
