Wein- und Bierschanke - Worms

We stopped here for drinks and a flammkuchen. This is like a ultra think crust square pizza.Instead of a red sauce base it is a white cream base on top of the dough and on top are a variety of toppings.Excellent! The service was also friendly and not too slow.

Amazing flammuchen with a big choice menu. Good beer (how could be different?) and kind staff, good service even when the place is full. I wish to be there again on my next time in Worms!!!

This place is supposedly specialised in flammkuchen. What we got was more like a pizza. The dough was way too thick. But what is worse, it wasn't baked long enough. The base was soggy, the edges were not even a little bit crunchy. Possibly the worst flammkuchen I was ever served. The portions are huge but it doesn't help if you don't like the food.

I simply love the Wein- und Bierschanke... It a simple place, not fancy at all, with lots of character and great food. Everything you order there has something special... the Flammkuchen are just great, the meat skewers that they hang from the lamps (in the photo above) are great option!! Everyone will find something delicious to eat here!!But like I said, bring your light spirit and don't expect nothing fancy!

Monster "Flammkuchen" (good for two persons) and you can take your choice of two different toppings! Many students and local people.
