Reviews summary
Nestled in downtown Wooster, this restaurant offers a blend of charm and culinary delights, yet it has drawn mixed reviews from patrons. Guests praise the friendly staff and welcoming ambiance, likening it to a hometown diner experience. Signature dishes like pancakes and omelettes shine, alongside a notable drink menu. However, some visitors reported long wait times, subpar food quality, and inconsistent service, detracting from what could be an exceptional meal. Despite its flaws, the restaurant shows potential as a beloved local spot, warranting a visit for its warm atmosphere and flavorful offerings.

Classic style diner. The food is always made quick and delicious, prices are modest, plenty of versatile seating for any size group, personally have never had to wait for a table. The owner has always been there acknowledging and thanking everyone he can. It's a Wooster staple! My only wish is that they add more forms of payment. Cash only!!
Good food, busy place. Waitresses and waiters are on point. Everyone works really hard. The owner is hilarious and really nice, always talks to all the customers.
Great atmosphere, extremely fun and polite staff. Made you feel very comfortable and welcome. Food was only so-so though. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it tasted ok but it was very small. The bun was larger than the actual piece of chicken. I'm going to guess this may have been a one time deal and will give them another try the next time I'm in town.
Rkckwellian at its best. A true hometown diner experience. A friendly staff and excellent service. The food is tasty and classic, just like the feeling of the place. Some of the best pancakes outside of my grandma's kitchen, and that is no exaggeration.
Heading to Amish country for the day and googled restaurants near me, we went off our path to this place and it was simply “basic”. Once our food came no one checked on us, eggs were runny, bacon barely cooked, hasbbrowns also undercooked, greasy and they didn’t bring creamers for coffee. Could be a good place, felt maybe it was just very understaffed today. Leaving you with this finale thought, the water in the women’s restroom only runs cold, that is scary when you think about how staff washes

10/10 would even just come back for the drinks and fries. Don?t Be Rude ???? was beautiful and delicious. I don?t usually like ham and cheese but The Chippy ???? was so good I could eat it over and over ????!! The perfect spot for a date or drinks withfriends. It gets busy fast so definitely recommend making a reservation during peak hours. My husband and I were also impressedwith how hard the owner was working in the trenches with their staff. You can tell the amount of thought that went into making aquality menu with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend if you?re out and about in Woo ????
I called in to make a reservation at 6:30 pm and was told tht was their busy time, which is why I called (What is a reservation for) When we arrived our table was at the very front table, at the front cold window, which was a medium high table with highseats. We immediately asked for a different table but I must say I feel we were being punished for making a reservation. Theydid move us thankfully! Service was good. We waited an hour and a half for our meal. We did have drinks until our meal came.Unfortunately we will not be back.
10/10 .. from the moment you walk into the restaurant! The attention to detail is amazing, you can tell they want you to have an experience and be nourished. I literally could not stop smiling the entire time I was there! It?s my new favorite ???? best inWooster overall experience and food!!
This place was so good, I went there for lunch one day and just HAD to try their breakfast the next morning! The food is great quality, served hot and fresh. Their pub fries are just incredible. Portions are BIG for breakfast and lunch (haven?t had dinneryet). I had the hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps. Tasty, and nice and strong! I had the fish sandwich and pub fries, andthen the lox and bagel the next day. Both excellent choices. Service was good and I chatted with the owners a bit, who care somuch about the place. Their passion for the Leaf is obvious! I?m so glad that Wooster has a spot like this now. We needed it!
Best restaurant and staff in Ohio. And I 'll fight anyone who says otherwise Get used to saying this is the best ____ I 've ever had over and over as you try to find your favorite item on the menu. Soon though, you 'll realize you don 't have a favoriteitem because the entire menu has become your favorite and no other restaurant stacks up against it, so you have to contemplatemoving to Wooster because you know that any dining experience back home will leave you wanting for more. And try NOT to have agood time with the amazing staff and tell me how that goes. Every person in there is great at what they do and they make it afun experience along the way. Amazing food and fantastic people... What more can you ask for?

Great food and service! Interesting menu items. Restaurant was full and loud. We made a reservation and were given a table by the front door (drafty/cold). They punish people who pay with credit cards, but it is hidden in the fine print. We didn't even know about it until we got the bill and the amounts for the various items were surprising (they put the cash price of items on the menu, then added a surcharge to all items when they printed the bill for us). It is annoying practice. We understand that credit cards create additional cost, but restaurant owners should make this practice clear and transparent in many ways (including on the menu) so that customers know to bring cash. Had a good experience overall.

We have always enjoyed the leaf for brunch and dinner. we just found out they had a bar menu. the sandwiches looked delicious. we will be back soon to try!
We waited for an hour to eat. we had no timetable to keep, but the waitress never came by to inform us about the great expulsion she had brought back until about an hour when we were there. the owner gave us some drinks refills. the waitress finally came by and apologized once, just before we got our meal. eating was hot and delicious as always.
This place was fantastic! Exciting entrees and superb service. Would highly recommend The Leaf!
We had a reservation at 6:45. We were seated, and after 20 minutes we asked a server if we could see our waitress. She came to our table, apologized for the delay, and said she was not informed that we were her table. We placed our drink and food order at that time. After 45 minutes we still had nothing but ice water in front of us. Wait staff never checked back in with us. My husband approached our waitress and told her we were leaving. I probably should give The Leaf all zeroes because we never got any food or drinks but that was not an option.
