Despite the mixed opinions, many still enjoy the juicy and well-seasoned chicken, especially when paired with the amazing potato salad. While some feel that improvements could be made, others have been loyal customers for years and highly recommend stopping by for a satisfying meal in the area. Ultimately, the experience at Dixie Lee seems to vary based on individual preferences and expectations.
I am not sure if i was just hungry or what but i ordered the 10 piece and went to the hotel and almost ate it all.it was sooo good. Their fried chicken is better than kfc. No breading bit just their 9 spices blend. I just loved. The chicken was moist and juicy. I woke up at 4 am and finished the 3 remaining pieces.
Love their chicken, prefer to do take out here though. usually fast and friendly service. I always get their potato salad and coleslaw here.
The biggest attraction at this restaurant was the big & sincere smile on the cashier's face :)The décor is outdated but don't tell that to the old lady that's constantly trying, unsuccessfully. The food is no less expensive, greasy or salty than KFC.Isn't it good to know that for as long as there are folks with wonky tastebuds, the good reviews & money will flow in?Would not recommend it. In fact, remove that beautiful smile & you can easily remove a star!
If you are looking for fried chicken in Woodstock, this is the place to go. I have eaten their chicken 2-3 times a year for the last 30 years. I think the flavour was better in the past, more intense, so if the proprietor is reading this, increase the spices but keep them in same proportion.
Some pretty good stuff there! Make sure you eat it when it's nice and hot because that's when it's at it's best.
