The curry sauce was home made and tasted amazing, the best yet! The chips were cooked perfectly also. Absolutely recommend.

Returning them, which feels like a big deal since it’s... read more After getting cash and returning for some chips, we found them undercooked, pale, and tough to bite into. Returning them, which feels like a big deal since it’s just chips, shouldn't be necessary; it's one of the simplest things to get right! Instead, I was met with a dismissive comment about how "they're new potatoes and that's just how they are." The problem is, they were tough to chew, and there was no apology or offer to replace them. I don’t eat chips often, but I certainly expect them to be properly cooked. It wouldn't have cost much to side with the customer and make things right. Instead, the chips went straight in the bin, and we ended up needing to find another place to eat, which overshadowed our experience here.

Every visit is absolutely delicious, with no faults whatsoever. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff are friendly. I usually get my car serviced at Patriot Motors, and I used to go to the local fish and chip shop, but I was disappointed when I found out it had changed ownership. However, when I saw how incredible the new owners’ chips and peas looked, I had to give them a try, and the taste was outstanding! It's such a hidden gem that my son, whenever he comes home from RAF Benson, always wants to stop by Langold just for these amazing chips and peas. Thank you, and please keep up the great work!
