Picked up takeout for a staff meeting Cuban sandwiches and pulled pot and chicken platters all were delicious !! I initially had a difficult time finding a menu online or a phone to pre order, but all was good as they were quick to fill my order when I arrived in person. I didn’t have to wait too long for a Monday at 6:30pm View all feedback.
What Aymber Owens doesn't like about Empanada Shack:
Although the food is good, my second visit was less than desirable. After witnessing the cook touch multiple non-food items with his gloves (including his phone and pants when he slid the phone back into his pocket). I asked for him to change gloves and instead of just changing them he felt the need to inform me he always changes. I watched him prepare 3 different meals with the same gloves. I also did not see a serv... View all feedback.
We are visiting from Sacramento and walked through this little food area. It's really nice inside compared to other shops around this has been really well developed with plenty of seating. Just got the grilled cheese, but it was so good. Crispy and really cheesy, just that perfect crunch. Definitely recommended.
Empanada Shack came out for an event at my work and they were incredible! AWESOME food and even more awesome people! The chicken empanada was the best I've ever eaten! Could not recommend them more!
Just thinking about the chicken empanadas is making my stomach growl! I started with the chicken thinking I'd maybe try a different one as well but the chicken was so good I had to go back for seconds. Their sauce provides to perfect compliment to an already tasty meal. Mouth watering-ly delicious and served by lovely people! I'll make sure to stop by whenever I get the chance!
Great food and service, I will definitely be a repeat customer and I'm super excited for the restaurant coming to Greer.?
As always in my reviews, I try to rate an establishment (or in this case, a food truck) by the standard of what they are attempting to accomplish rather than comparing them to another anything. In this case, the Empanada Shack Food Truck has been parked near my house for several weeks in the parking lot of a local business on Roper Mountain Road. I have watched a slow but steady stream of diner 's stopping by and helping out the little guy of a food truck. It seemed like I was just pulling for them and their business, so I had to be a doer and not a hearer (or see er) only. One Saturday, was the day. The truck and space was very clean, there were a wide variety of options on the menu, but I went straight for the namesake the Empanada and in the format of the ground beef empanada. I 'm no expert, but to me a good empanada is a fluffy, flaky, pie like dough with a savory filling. The filling should be substantial enough to get a full bite from end to end, and especially at the ends, and not too thick so as to burst the dough. It should be fried but not too greasy, which means in HOT oil. And it is helpful if the pie is fresh and not having been prepared ahead of time and allowed to get soggy. This one was good. Screaming hot, flaky crust, correct ratio of savory beef filling and a side of yum sauce. So it hit all the marks for their intended target a delicious, convenient, hand held pie, suitable for breakfast, snack, lunch or dinner. I plan another stop for a more comprehensive tasting of the menu!
