What Cuppers doesn't like about The Swiss Chalet:
I was so excited about returning to the Swiss Chalet. However my food was not good. My steak for 38 dollars was chewy and hard. Not a good way to eat steak. They did take it off the bill which I appreciated but I was told it was because I ordered a steak that was medium well done and that's why it was chewy and hard. That is not a good excuse and puts the blame on the customer. Please improve this. View all feedback.
Sigi was great! Really good service! We loved the cocktails too. Best espresso martini and pear martini ever. Of course the fondue was great too
Came for breakfast and hours listed on the building and online say they should be open but the doors were locked. And we came at 11:50am.
A hidden gem of a restaurant! The menu was delicious, fresh, and filling.
What a pleasure and surprise.Been wanting to stop by for a while. Glad we did. Excellent lunch and very reasonable for the quality. Limited menu but spot on with each dish. Best Ruben, terrific mushroom steak soup.We will definitely be back soon.
Atmosphere was wonderful, as well as the staff. Our waitress was VERY helpful and kind. Wait on the food was a little long but not long enough to be worried about. Had the fondue, and it was amazing. They had all kinds of food to go with it. First time eating fondue and I enjoyed it. Ordered the filet mignon. It is to DIE for and I don't live in Woodland Park but I would travel on my own feet all the way over there for 600 miles just for the mignon. I am going to Switzerland next year and if Swiss cuisine is just like this, wow. A little expensive but it's a fancy restaurant it's supposed to be like that. A simple message to the staff: Thank you so much and you deserve so much more than a 4.3 review.
