Contribute FeedbackMixed reviews are in for Buddy's pizza restaurant, with some customers expressing severe disappointment. Long wait times, subpar service, and poorly cooked food were common complaints. On the positive side, some diners praised the unique Detroit-style pizza and friendly service. The Yardbird barbecue chicken was a hit, along with the diverse pizza options. With prices ranging from $10 to $100 per person, Buddy's appears to have room for improvement in consistency and quality. Overall, opinions vary from a thumbs-down to a glowing recommendation based on personal experiences. Buddy's may warrant a visit for those willing to give it a chance.
I’m from St. Louis and I was visiting Detroit for a few days. I’ve always wanted to try Detroit style pizza and everyone suggested Buddy’s and they definitely did not disappoint! I ordered eight slices with pepperoni, caramelized onions, jalapeños, and extra tomato basil sauce. All of the ingredients complimented each other so well on top of that thick, buttery crust (which I have to say is definitely my favorite style crust now). The sauce is one of the best I’ve EVER had. As I type this on the way back to St. Louis, my only regret is not ordering a pizza to-go. I will certainly be visiting Buddy’s each time I travel to Detroit now! ?
Good DSP, very good service. I know this is very authentic and the original , and again, it 's good, but DSP has come a long way and there 's definitely room for improvement.
Stopped in on the way to a Tigers game. We always have to visit a Buddy's when we're in Detroit. The pizza is consistently great, as is the service.
We had the Yardbird barbecue Chicken and incredible. The pizza had 2 different sauces with the perfect blend of cheeses.Parking: Free parking with plenty of space.
Food's good. Service is good. Rarely a wait to get in which is nice. We love the Buddy Bread, hot and served fresh out of the oven!
