I randomly stopped by the food truck downtown and it was well worth it in every sense. The truck had delicious brisket, to-die-for pork belly and it was free beer Friday. You read that right. You won’t be disappointed. View all feedback.
What L0NAkathym doesn't like about Creekside Cookers Food Trailer:
The bbq was not bad. Fair price. Nothing to write home about but certainly edible. Drinks were another issue though. Be aware that when you order a “coke and whisky “ you must pay 5 bucks for the “shot” and then another 2 bucks for the splash of coke. Reminds me of numerous third world countries I have visited and also the airport pricing to get to those countries About three miles down the road you can get a decent... View all feedback.
Friendly service. Nice outside area with live music. BBQ and jalapeño cream corn was delicious. Only negative: out of fried okra.

These folks know what they are doing!! Excellent barbecue!! The brisket sides are wonderful! We really enjoyed our lunch here. Just go!
We were in the area and found this place off the beaten path about two blocks from Hwy. 12. It was pretty busy for mid afternoon, but it was Market Days weekend in Wimberley so everywhere was busy. This was our first time and they had plenty of parking with a small parking lot in front and a larger one in the back. There was no wait to order when we arrived. The cashier, Jessica, answered all our questions and was efficient. The menu is posted on the wall behind the cashier. They offer plates, burgers, ad good choice of sides in different sizes. We ordered Lean Chopped Brisket Sandwich $9) and as I prefer with no sauce mixed in. You have a choice of moist, lean or combination of brisket. The sandwich was overflowing with tender brisket and not too smoky or dry. Along with a small side of potato salad $2). I had never had this type of potato salad as it was not mayo or mustard but seems to be sour cream and was very creamy and a nice change. We also ordered a regular 16 oz. side of beans and also mac 'n cheese. Each of these were $6. The beans were very good with a bit of spiciness to them and the mac 'n cheese was spiral noodles and a little dry but still cheesy. The sodas and tea are self serve. They do have beer wine and a bar. There are two rooms inside for table seating and outside an open area with picnic table seating. There was a solo entertainer playing music on the Sat. we visited. Masks were not required and tables were being cleared timely. The noise level was not bad considering the amount of people. We would eat here again if in the area.
The service was great! The barbecue was not bad at all but it wasn't anything more than average. We had their brisket, turkey, sausage, and sides. The turkey had a good smoke flavor but the rest was lacking. There is a full bar and there was a one man band playing guitar and signing which helped the atmosphere.
