Fantastic Dining Experience in Wimberley! My visit to this restaurant in Wimberley was nothing short of delightful! After reading the glowing Google reviews, I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. The service was outstanding, and the food exceeded my expectations. I opted for the buffalo chicken sandwich and Mahi tacos, both of which were bursting with flavor. The side of fries/hash puppies was a tasty ad... View all feedback.
What Mandy Kamien doesn't like about Chill's On The Creek:
The kitchen is amazing and the food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend! The service is a work in progress, although Hayden stepped in to the rescue and did an excellent job mediating between us and the unprofessional manager on shift. View all feedback.
When ordering my food I specifically asked how much a side would be. The waitress confirmed it was $3.50 so I ordered it. She only came back to the table twice the whole night. Since she wasn't coming back I asked the food runner for an extra cup of sour cream and she said she would be right back with it. It never came. I could see small things like this happening on a busy night but it was not busy at all when we were there. Regardless, it's not a big deal. Eventually, the waitress came back to collect payment. The bill seemed too high so after tipping 20% I requested a physical copy of the receipt. I'm glad I did because that's how I realized the side was not, in fact, $3.50 like I had been told. I was charged $10... for a side baked potato... The waitress never brought back the physical copy I had requested so I had to ask for it again up front. I know prices everywhere are increasing but this just felt disrespectful. I grew up coming to this restaurant a lot. It's a beautiful location and I have always enjoyed my visits. However, this last experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.
Great lunch spot on the River. You have to try their fresh Mex martini in the jar!
Sit outdoor under the tree overlooking to the river....you will love it.
Friendly staff, great service, fun atmosphere and yummy food and drinks. Would love to eat here again.
We came here on a beautiful Saturday day for lunch around 1:30 PM. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a party of two and we were OK with that. We went inside sat down at the bar and ordered drinks. The bartender was friendly and fast. After about 45 minutes of waiting, I went to check on our wait time and was told they just texted my husband. We were seated. At that point the service got worse. It took us three times of asking where our waitress was before she finally came over and took our order. At that time the lunch crowd was gone and there were several tables open so not sure what the problem was? She did apologize but didn’t offer a reason why it took her so long to acknowledge our table had been seated. We both ordered a hamburger and fries. After about 20 minutes, our food came out. The fries were cold, and the hamburger was barely warm, but after an hour of waiting, we were hungry so we ate it. We have been to this restaurant many times in the past when it was the other named place and always had a great experience. Wimberley is a destination motorcycle ride for us which is about a two hour ride one way. If you’re out in Wimberley on a nice day, you might check out other restaurants on the square before picking this place.
