What Zoov kaj Xiong doesn't like about Duc's:
The price of the pho is a little high for the amount you get and the taste is mediocre. No complimentary water either. If your someone like me who is use to eating good pho then don't bother ordering it here. The sweet and spicy wings on the other hand was pretty good. View all feedback.
Delicious food and Great service. I would say that Duc the owner is one of the most down to earth and all around cool guys. He knows how to connect with every single person that walks into his restaurant. The service and food was amazing. I would loveto visit again and try other things on the menu. Where we live the service is bad everywhere, so it was very refreshing toenjoy good service and a good meal for once. We appreciate you very much! Thank you for being a part of the good in the world.
Update- Decided to give it another shot. Bad idea. Given a 12-20 min estimate for a to-go order but once they got our money it went to over a hour and the staff wanted to get an attitude when asking for updates. Never again. Unable to refund for omitteditems and certainly not a place for those looking for decent prices, appetizers and customer service. I've been ordering fromthis place for years and their chicken main dishes are delicious but everything else will leave you wanting more. The potstickers are amazing if you like warm, raw hot-water pastry crust. Don't get me started on the current customer servicesituation. The older of the two servers/hostesses was absolutely amazing. However, the younger but old enough to know betterone, requires remedial training. When you put someone on hold, make sure you actually put them on hold. I heard every word ofish talking as well as you handling other callers who called after myself. Ling story short, this establishment has gonedownhill fast in the past few months.
Heard the Chinese was good, went out on a limb and tried their Vietnamese dishes instead and was very disappointed.. The deep fried potato appetizer as can be seen in the photo came stale, chewy and clumped together. For $8.25 the dish as well as theserving size were very underwhelming for what tasted like fried lays potato chips. The Egg Roll I received was also extremelychewy leading me to believe the fryer oil is old which is sad for being Saturday. Lastly the Beef Pho was about as plain as itcomes, the noodles were inedible due to the texture, Basil was brown all over. Lastly I was pretty bummed to find out the chilioil and hoison sauce pictured I asked for extra came in 1 container only filled about 1 centimeter high, Also it was Srirachaand not the Chili oil which I had hoped for which was sad. Should of went with the Chinese dishes as recommended ??????? Maybenext time but probably not.
Takeout only took a few minutes and came in paper boxes, not plastic. They have a vegetarian section of the menu but the woman taking orders said she couldn’t verify if dishes were vegan.
Duc is an old friend. And his mother, Xuan, taught him most of these dishes. He will literally make any dish into a vegan option stir fry with broth, etc. But the ones listed in the menu are first class. Tell him I the old bald St. Paul guy with serious heart disease said hello. Updated from previous review on 2021 01 02
