We decided to try a quiet Hungarian restaurant in Vaughan, surrounded by loud Italian eateries. It was a nice change from the usual pasta and pizza. On a Thursday night, a big party of 25 added to the lively atmosphere. The service was average, with our server being more reserved than outgoing. The wine selection was a bit limited, which was surprising given the restaurant's name. However, the food was excellent. The... View all feedback.
What Mona Voigt doesn't like about Tokaji Wine Boutique and Restaurant:
My husband took me as a luncheon surprise. It was empty at 2:00 pm on a Saturday. Coming from Hungarian background, I was looking forward to it. We both ordered the Schnitzel , my parsley potatoes were not cooked thru, the appetizer with cheese Dip, was flavourless. Not worth $24.00 a plate. The service was good, waitress was nice, however , needs better command of the English language. The kitchen staff and the wait... View all feedback.
The time, service and eating are wonderful, really past a perfect time! the wee was perfect with the meal and dessert, have to go back there.
We really enjoyed our meal the other day. Very nice restaurant with great food. We had liver dumpling soup which was very good followed by schnitzel and cabbage rolls. Probably the best cabbage rolls I've ever had. The crepes were amazing! I would go here...just for the crepes. Will be happy to return and try some of the other dishes.

The carving dish we shared had a fantastic aroma and the petersilienkartoffels were amazing. I would definitely recommend trying this Hungarian restaurant for a change of pace from the usual Italian fare in Vaughan.
My partner and I had a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and wine at this restaurant! The service was great and we will definitely be returning in the future.
This is my twelfth time dining here. All meals have been excellent, including the four we had this evening. I’d come much more often, but the prices are a touch on the high side. As more than an offset, the food quality is significant superior...(say 50% to 100% better) to what I get at restaurants where my dining bill is 25% less. Thus from a cost-benefit viewpoint, this superior food is very reasonably priced. We spent 2.25 hours at the restaurant, basically chatting and having a relaxing evening. No pressure was put on us to buy extra drinks or leave. Superb cuisine and service, and great environment. The chicken soup with generous pieces of chicken breast and nice carrot slices was great; I had the large/two-person portion, after which I felt full, but I kept eating. All four of us very much liked our meals which included chicken soup, goulash soup, two orders of veal stew with homemade dumplings and a touch of sour cream, goose liver, grilled salmon with crisp veggies, and wiener schnitzel with red cabbage. Highly recommended.
