I always order carry out, I love their chicken and beef teriyaki. I never get it with the the shrimp, one day I was feeling spicy and decided to get all 3. I don't regret however I'm not much of a seafood person. Ill just stick to my usual, my boyfriend is obsessed with their rolls and anything that has to do with this place.Kid-friendliness: My kids are picky eaters, however they love this place. What User doesn't like about Quickway Japanese Hibachi:
DO NOT BUY! The sanitation is horrible, I asked for my money back couldn’t even eat it. The food looks like it has been sitting for a long time, my food was ready in 2mins. View all feedback.
I ordered the Chicken Beef. The food was okay. The rice, in spots, tasted crunchy, dry and old. The rice was sub par, which if you know anything about japanese culture, should be the one thing that a place prides themselves on... However, with this being a chain restaurant, I can't necessarily say that I'm surprised.. The steak was nice and flavorful, with a slightly lengthy chew to it it was trimmed nicely and was a thin cut. The chicken was decent and the Yummy Sauce added to the meals flavors. I recommend this for a quick asian style bite to eat, but not some place you would want to take a date, for a first meal! Get this if you're pressed for time or money, and just need something to fill you up on a boring day where you don't expect much..
My son and I discovered this place while out running errands over the weekend. Since we're both fans of hibachi style meals, Quickway sounded like a great meal choice for dinner. The inside was spacious with only a couple of tables filled (probably my first flag). Ordering is styled after several other quick food specialty joints, like Five Guys, Chipotle, etc. The menu is fairly simple and looked delicious. We ordered chicken with fried rice and one order with the veggies. Our food was cooked and done in about 5-10 minutes. Pretty quick! Once we arrived home and started eating (10 minutes after pick up), we were both disappointed. The chicken and rice was very oily which did not make for a good texture and taste. Some of my chicken actually had crusty edges from imbalanced cooking. The veggies I requested looked over cooked and slimy from the oil. While I still really like hibachi style foods, I will not return to Quickway. Great idea but poor delivery. Not recommended.
This location has terrible hygiene its nasty and ridiculous there was hair and a small bug! I know what spices look like, so at first I thought it was just a spice, but further inspection there was legs along with it. Not only do I find someone's pieces of hair in my food, but a bug as well never again will I eat here. Absolutely nasty
Our family LOVES the Quickway in Fair Oaks Mall so we had to give this place a chance. I wish we would have read the reviews. We ordered 4 orders of tofu. One order had a hair in it. The hair was at the bottom and was mixed in with the rice and veggies. Everyone was grossed out so no one wanted to finish their food. I called and spoke with the manager who was rude and told us to bring the food back in. My husband took the food in and the manager was rude to him as well. We were never given an apology and any real customer service. My husband had to push for a full refund because food was eaten out of each container. Yes, we all started eating out the containers, but no one wanted to finish eating after finding the hair. For all we know the hair could have been cooked with all the rice or all the vegetables. It?s just nasty. An apology and accepting fault would go along way. The manager acted as if we were the problem. How dare we not want to eat the food with hair in it. This whole location needs to be shut down and retrained. If you want great food go to Fair Oaks Mall.
It's going to sound crazy, but I like this place. I get the chicken, beef, and shrimp combo. My girlfriend gets the chicken and beef. We order some extra yum yum sauce. IS it the best hibachi we've had? Nope. But it's not bad, the portion is great (we usually have leftovers) and it's like $28 for the both of us. There are better places, and they generally cost more money. I adjust my expectations accordingly.
