What Opentable Diner doesn't like about The Mermaid:
Lunch with family. Very attentive and polite service. Disappointingly the advertised fixed price lunch menu wasn’t available. So two courses cost more than the evening fixed price three course menu. Food was delicious. The crumble desert was huge but very tasty. View all feedback. What AnnetteC likes about The Mermaid:
The mermaid was undergoing a refurb So only half the pub was open. This did not cause any inconvenience or disturbance to our evening. Looking forward to the complete refurbishment View all feedback.

read moreThe Mermaid is a cozy spot with friendly staff and enjoyable food in Wolverhampton. Although the fixed price lunch menu wasn't available, the delicious food did not disappoint. Even with ongoing refurbishments, the atmosphere was pleasant. Portions were generous for Sunday lunch, but some felt the seafood risotto could use more seafood. Despite a mix-up with a New Year's reservation, overall experiences were positive, especially for special occasions like Mother's Day. Guests appreciated the affordable prices, quality of dishes, and selection of wines. A great place to gather with friends for a meal and drinks.
Another local branch of the chain, The Vine, can be found in Wombourne.
I had a great time catching up with friends over dinner on the patio. I ordered the seafood risotto, which was delicious, but I wished it had more seafood in it...
read moreThis restaurant is part of the Vintage Inn chain, so you can expect the standard decor of a rustic country inn with lots of dark wood, stone floors, and more.
