Description

Peps Plaice has garnered both praise and disappointment from its customers. While many admire the fast, friendly service and consistently delicious fish and chips, others lament a decline in quality, with complaints about smaller portion sizes, soggy batter, and higher prices. Despite a few instances of poor hygiene and service lapses, the bustling atmosphere suggests a loyal following. Patrons appreciate the shop's commitment to safety and cleanliness during recent times. Ultimately, Peps Plaice remains a popular choice, though its recent changes prompt a divided perspective among its long-standing clientele.

Used to be the best fish and chip shop around, without doubt. Having been coming here for years . Recently have began to feel shortchanged. This fish and chip shop is outrageous with their prices. Charging over £16.00 for a small portion of fish and chips, and roe and chips is unacceptable. I have been a customer here for years, but I will never return. It is a complete rip off, especially considering you can buy a large tin of roe for £6.00 that provides at least 6 servings. There is no justification for these prices, Pep. It's time to stay away from this establishment.

A chippy I have been going to for years because it’s the best of the best!!!! Family run, top quality service food. Any bad reviews on here must’ve caught them on a seriously bad day because I have been coming here for years and have never had a problem. This shop is never not busy and that says it all! When Pep retires put it this way, there will be some very upset people including me!!
