What User doesn't like about Oriental Chef:
the own vegan menu is to see what has taken us in, and it is a real highlight that there is (seriously, why it is so. damn. hard to find a vegan menu on a Chinese takeaway.) I enjoyed my crushed chicken dishes, but the sweet and sour chicken balls (which I accept that both of them did not use the same good). I think I'd order from here again, but maybe they choose different dishes that don't have a mock meat. View all feedback.

Ordered a couple of times now, and have been well impressed with all the food. The vegan chicken curries, and vegan chow mein are both incredible, and ate with some meat eaters who were also well impressed with the vegan meals! They can definitely be trusted too, as when placing my order they pointed out the gravy wasn’t vegan friendly, giving me reassurance that everything else was. They have lots of vegan options so can try something new often. I have been a few times now and the vegan chicken balls with sweet and sour are my favourite. This time I also tried the vegan chicken chow mein which was also really good and a large portion. The packaging is labelled vegan and the staff have told me the fortune cookies are also vegan, so you feel like you can trust them to ensure its vegan.
I have ordered from this restaurant multiple times now and have been thoroughly impressed with all of the dishes. The vegan chicken curry and vegan chow mein are both amazing. I even shared them with some non-vegan friends who were also impressed with the vegan options! If there was any doubt about my order not being vegan-friendly, the staff assured me that everything else was. Updated from previous review on 2021-07-07.
