Newhampton Inn - Wolverhampton
Newhampton Inn
Description
Tucked away in a quiet corner of Wolverhampton is the Newhampton Inn, a charming pub with a modern twist. Behind the Victorian exterior, our vibrant venue offers a wide selection of real ales, freshly-prepared pub food, live music, a beer garden, a bowling-green, and a child's play area. We also feature a pop-up cocktail bar, barbecues, and DJs playing soul, funk, and reggae. Since new management took over in March 2014, the Newhampton has been revitalized to its former glory, with changes that have been well-received by both old and new customers. Exciting things are in store for the future!.

Feedback
The quality of this former beloved pub has significantly declined. The atmosphere is unwelcoming, the staff is rude, and it is a far cry from its previous standard. I felt unwelcome and it seems that only certain individuals are deemed acceptable. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place, especially for those who are ethnically diverse.
This restaurant always offers a great selection of ales and has a mix of regular customers, some of whom I used to be when I lived nearby. They provide newspapers for solo diners or you can chat with the locals. The beer garden is fantastic and I have always enjoyed the food here, although I haven't eaten here in a few years. It can get quite busy after work, but the staff always try their best.
The meal was enjoyable, but the restaurant still needs improvement. The outdoor area is much better, but unfortunately, it cannot be used in rainy weather. The interior is dark and musty, which is a shame because the venue has the potential to be fantastic.
I have been going to the Newhampton for over 10 years to eat and drink and wine he last couple of visits have made me not want to go back again. Food was poor , poorly served no garnish just about warmed up ! Guiness wasn’t even poorer correctly was flat. Attitude of staff is apauling, I used to work in a bar so I know the standards of what is expected and some of the staff are far from this. I’m disappointed this is the case and I hope that this review provokes a hanger for the better .
This used to be a traditional pub but the heart and soul has been ripped out with blaring tvs showing sport, a variety of cheap fizzy lagers, only 2 real ales on tap. Looks like a Wetherspoons. The best thing was the staff who have now had to leave despite having a vision for this pub to make it a friendly pub with a food offer and regular music nights. Due to the way the landlord was treated we will not support this pub till Enterprise leaves
