Unfortunately we didn't get to experience the food or wine as we left before our table was ready. On arrival we were not acknowledged by any staff, we waited patiently by the door which also seems to be the bar area and despite staff members being in the area no-one smiled or said hello. Eventually some other customers moved through to their table and we had to approach the bar to tell them we were there. We had booked for and by we were still waiting, we hadn't been told that we would have to wait for the table and when we asked what was happening they said our table was being laid. This turned out to be a small round table where people had been sitting next to the toilets. There were of us. I said that was unnacceptable and the hostess' said we could have another table, which was again had just been vacated by a couple and was another small round table. We decided to leave and told them that we were going as no-one had greeted us and they were trying to squeeze us on a tiny table, she said they were busy too busy to smile? I enquired! We left and had a great night at The Red Fort instead. Shame because the food did look really good but the service and hospitality really let them down and we would not have enjoyed the rest of the evening because of our poor initial experience.
Expensive? If you want the best then you have to pay for it. Without doubt the best Italian restaurant in the area. The only thing missing was the beautiful Italian scenery, but you will not get this in Chappel Ash!Treat yourself.
Dined here on Saturday the seventh of August for my girlfriend's birthday. The venue, staff, food and drink were exemplary. I could not fault one single thing. This is the closest I have ever come to genuine Italian cuisine outside of Italy! When my six numbers come up, I will be dining here on a weekly basis, at the very least. So to the problem.Six pounds per glass of wine is a little steep, and you can imagine the price of the menu based on that. If you're the kind of person who drives an (as I did at the time), brand new, and actually own it rather than have it on finance or through your company then you won't bat an eyelid at the prices. However, if you don't have hundreds of thousands of pounds squirrelled away for a new car and other such essentials, you may balk at the prices! In summary:The best Italian cuisine outside of Italy I have yet found, but you certainly feel the need to blow your nose afterward once all the money has come out to pay for it!One for the middle-managers, sadly.
Went here on a living social offer, and had a fantastic meal, would highly recommend.
What a let down!!! I had heard/read such good reviews and was very disappointed. We were a large group that went early for the cheaper menu, however, that wasnt to everyones taste so many of us choose from the main menu, i had a bowl of penn pasta with bits of chicken in for The manager was not very sociable and quite ignorant, needless to say that was the first and last time i will be visiting there.
The restaurant in question seems to have received mixed reviews. While some customers were disappointed with the service and limited menu options, others praised the venue, staff, food, and drink, comparing it to authentic Italian cuisine. Despite the expensive wine prices, the overall experience was deemed exceptional by those willing to pay for quality. For those seeking the best Italian food in the area, this restaurant may be worth a visit, as long as you are prepared to splurge a little. Treat yourself to a taste of Italy in Chappel Ash, where quality comes at a price.

Every time I go to Bella it is fantastic in every way. The service the food is just fantastic, and it’s a family run business how lucky is Wolverhampton to have this great business.
What has happened to Bella!? Been going for many years but never again! Customer service was poor. There is this new front of house lady who is rude and unfriendly. My friend was running late and I ordered a drink and was told they offer drinks when everyone is there! That’s me told! Then 10 minutes later the sucking on a lemon lady came over again and very sharply said ‘is anyone else coming!’ It was how it was said sharply! I thought I was going to get asked to leave as my friend was late. There were lots of empty tables so not sure what that was about and when we left it was nearly empty. Toilets were not pleasant with toilet seat hanging off. Staff just standing talking at bar when people were waiting to be served. Food was ok but we wont ever go back again! Especially when there is Flume at Compton, which is in a different league! If you are looking for an Italian I wouldn’t recommend Bella, their standards have dropped and have changed management I think as the friendly lady isn’t there. So if you want to be shouted at feel free to go to Bella with the poor service and Luke warm food and broken toilet. Flume is the new favourite amongst everyone I know. So Bella we won’t be returning and we will be letting everyone we know about our experience tonight! Very disappointing.
I had an amazing evening at this restaurant. As a person with a disability, the staff made sure to accommodate my mobility needs, providing a warm and friendly greeting. Our party of 5 all loved the food, with each of us trying something different and enjoying it immensely. The staff were all incredibly charming. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.
