I decided to visit this cafe today, ordered my food to be told the manger was in a meeting and shouldn't be long, i waited 20 mins still no show, the young lady... read more I decided to visit this cafe today, ordered my food to be told the manger was in a meeting and shouldn't be long, i waited 20 mins still no show, the young lady who was behind the counter was very good and helpful she asked if we would like a cake which i agreed to but when they arrived they were rock hard, i asked if they could be put in microwave to soften which she did. But unfortunetly it made no difference these cake's were obviously not fresh. I complained to the young lady again and she gave me a full refund. I will not be visiting there again.

Today, I tried afternoon tea at this restaurant for the first time and it was wonderful. Visited the roundhouse cafe today, what can i say, i was greeted as soon as I walked through the door by the young ladies behind the counter and the ladies in t... read more Visited the roundhouse cafe today, what can i say, i was greeted as soon as I walked through the door by the young ladies behind the counter and the ladies in the kitchen with a smile, I was made to feel very welcome as I picked my seat and decided what to have, it was a very difficult choice with all the stunning cakes and pastries on display that are made fresh on site (I checked and the ladies in the kitchen were baking up a storm) but i eventually settled on the hot pork cob with gravy, stuffing and apple sauce as well as a cheeky rocky road for afters and a coffee to wash it all down, I wasn't disappointed, the pork was beautifully cooked and melted in your mouth as well as very well filled, and the rocky road was to die for, left feeling happy and very, very full!! Very well done ladies, I will defo be back with friends ASAP
