Shingle Inn - Wollongong

We decided to have coffee and pie at the Shingle Inn, but it turned out to be a disappointing choice. The coffee was not good and the pie was terrible. It seemed like a good pie that had been overcooked in the microwave and was served with a disappointing excuse for a salad. If you're not going to put any effort into the side salad, it's better not to offer it at all. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

This restaurant is clean and cozy, with comfortable chairs and booths to relax in. They serve delicious coffee and cakes, perfect for a satisfying breakfast. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant opens early in the morning and stays open until shops close.

Very pleasant place to have a coffee or meal while shopping in Crown Central. There is lots of space and the menu goes from light snacks to a proper meal.The service is good-you order at the counter and children are catered for. There is several types of seating and papers are supplied. Good for hubby to chill if the lady is off at the local shops.

After a tiring morning, we were delighted to come across this café with its many offerings for lunch and snacks. Set inside an interior mall, it has bench seating, chairs and tables, and even armchairs and low tables. The setting is lovely, the girl on duty is friendly and conversational, and our welcome coffee and carrot cake arrives nicely presented. Shame that the cake is stale!

I was rudely asked to leave the restaurant simply for sitting in one of their chairs for a moment without placing an order.
