Busy Friday night, but we arrived early and were seated quickly. Some staff have language problem (not good English) so pointing at menu helped. Food arrived within reasonable time and was well presented. Excellent tasting meal. Liquorland opposite so you can pick wine to liking, small corkage charge. We asked for extra rice and it was served quickly. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sakura Japanese restaurant:
We went with 30 local club members and while our food was nice we asked the waitresses to explain the dishes to our group as many hadn't eaten Japanese food before, she chose to ignore our question so we fumbled through the menu with us not knowing what to order, it would be nice for this to be taken into consideration in future, so improve the local knowledge of Japanese food. This is the best family restaurant experience we have had so far ! The food was spectacular and very flavourful. Best of all my 16 year old who is one of the fussiest eaters on the planet was thrilled and asked to back the next day ! My 17 year old who has a long history of disappointing restaurant experiences pronounced it the best food he had ever had. Our family gathering included meat eaters, vegetarians and piscarians (no meat but will eat fish) and every one was happy ! In fact we loved it so much we are going again only 10 days after the last meal. Some of the staff have a little trouble with English but are keen to assist so patience will be rewarded with authentic flavours and delicious, exceptionally fresh food.
Popped in here for a quick dinner on a Friday night. We didn't have a reservation but there were plenty of tables in what looks like a very small restaurant from the outside. The sashimi and sushi platter was great... The tuna was my favourite and the bowl of us on we shared between two was a good size. We also had edamame and a squid entree and that was enough food that we were satisfied. The best part though was the umeshu (plum wine) that I have been trying to find since travelling in Japan 2 years ago! Arigato Sakura.

Authentic fresh delicious Japanese , the scallops with orange from are my favourite , dine in with great service and also take away.
We've been here several times and the food is always good. Menu is hard to navigate and the staff don't speak English. You need to be patient and flexible. We ordered tempura vegetables and got spring rolls lol.
