I have had a few meals at Halong Bay and am yet to be disappointed. The restaurant is now located in a much larger area and generally getting a table is not a problem.The banquets are the easiest way to order, particularly if you are in a large group . They are of good quality, large servings and arrive in a reasonable time. In terms of value for money it is up there towards the high end. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ha Long Bay:
Ordered lemon grass beef with vegetables accompanied by rice. I expected the flavour to have at least a suggestion of flavour of lemon grass. It was the most bland dish of slop I've ever been served. Made comment at desk and was offered 10% off bill. I declined as felt they needed cash more than I did! Difficult to get attention of waiter. View all feedback.

Walking down the street considering which restaurant to dine in, we saw this place and I recall hearing good reviews.It is upstairs where La Fontana used to be.The staff were very polite and efficient.The food came out very quickly. All the vegetable content was fresh and crisp. The meat/seafood components were cooked exactly as they ought to be.This was a very pleasant first-time experience.We will be back again.
Ha Long Bay in its new location is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner, sit on the balcony and watch Wollongong nightlife go by.Great food and generous sized meals I found the prices reasonable, BYO wine helps reduce the strain on the wallet too.The staff are friendly and the mels arrive hot and fresh, if I had one criticism then I thought the meals arrive too quickly behind each other as I prefer to rest between entree and main. But if you're in a hurry then it's ideal.
This restaurant moved upstairs recently and is still the best. Fresh good food, good service and incredible value. The pho is great, the fresh rice paper rolls. You need to book on the weekend as it is packed out but during the week is fine. Good traditional Vietnamese food.
