We depend on consistency here and it always delivers. Last night we shared a small pizza and the Capretto (goat) which were both delicious and well priced. Nice bottle of Shiraz and two very happy diners. Mille Grazi Cosa Nostra. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cosa Nostra Pizzeria & Restaurant:
I decided to dine at this restaurant after reading multiple online reviews. Unfortunately, those reviews did not mention anything about the poor service I experienced. The front of house staff was incredibly rude throughout the entire evening, which made it difficult to relax. They got our order wrong (we ordered 2 pizzas) and also mixed up the next order. Our waitress was friendly, and the pizzas were tasty, even th... View all feedback.

Walking in off the street without a reservation to this restaurant, we were lucky that there had been a recent cancellation. Very friendly, attentive and welcoming staff. Recommend for entrée the pizzetta alla sarda to share. Mains we enjoyed the ossobucco and scaloppina san remo served with vegetables. The food was delicious with generous servings.
We were visiting Wollongong from Melbourne for a couple of days and were late in having dinner on our first night. We called Cosa Nostra ahead to confirm they would still be open. When they said yes, we were pleased - as we had seen so many fabulous reviews about the restaurant on Trip Advisor - and wanted to try for ourselves. On our arrival, we were warmly greeted by each of the three family members who made us feel right at home. The table snd blackboard menus had a variety of dishes - pizza, pasta, an interesting kids menu, beef, chicken and veal - and even duck and rabbit. There were several mouthwatering desserts and extensive hot and cold beverage listings. Prices were reasonable and it was heartwarming to see their blackboard menu stated that $5 for each pasta dish served would be donated to victims of the 2016 Italian earthquake. For entree, we ordered a half ciabatta - after being honestly advised that had we ordered a full one, we would not have room for our mains...lucky we took the advice! It was served piping hot and crunchy with a simple oil and balsamic vinegar dressing - a match made in heaven! My husband ordered lasagne and I had the pasta marinara. Although the menu described my dish as spaghetti marinara, they cheerfully agreed to replace spaghetti with penne at my request. Both servings were very generous and tasted delicious. The pasta marinara was the best I ever had with generous portions of shellfish, several pieces of tender calamari rings, juicy lobster and baby octopus beautifully combined in a fresh tomato sauce with a gentle chilli flavour. I could not finish my pasta and gave some to my husband - as it would have been a sin to waste! At different stages of the meal, we were kindly asked - but not in an intrusive way - if all was well, by all three of the family members who were working that night. It was lovely that they could stop and have a pleasant conversation, as it made us feel even more welcomeIf we return to Wollongong, we hope that Cosa Nostra will still be in business so we can go again.
I confess, our choice of this restruarant was we were walking, it rained, the door was right there.I so am glad we went in. It is a pretty basic room, but the smell from the kitchen is of home style Italian. GArlick and onion.....can't go wrong. The food does not disappoint. This is not fancy, but it is great tasting Italian classics, well cooked, with generous helpings and friendly down to earth service and a good basic wine list. Bellissimo. This will not be your best meal ever, but it will be a long way from your worst.
Service friendly and accomodating, best gnocchi we have had in a while! Great for the kids too, colouring in for children. Really nice people???? Gelati HUGE
