Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant, located within the Sage Motel, received mixed reviews from diners. Some were disappointed with the long wait times, incorrect orders, and food quality. Despite voucher discounts, they felt the meals were overpriced and underwhelming. Others found the service prompt and friendly, with delicious food options including a vegetarian root vegetable salad and Tuscan Beef Lasagne. Customers appreciated the attentive staff and cozy seating options, making it a convenient choice for those staying at the hotel. While some encountered issues with out-of-stock menu items, they still enjoyed the dishes they received. Overall, opinions varied but the restaurant seems to have potential for improvement.
Do not order crappy fried chicken burger or ribs overpriced and awful. Go to a real burger or rib joint don't waste your money.
Great friendly and helpful service good selection of beers and food was great, I had a vegetarian root vegetable salad which was utterly beautiful. If in this area would definitely go again.
I'm not sure if we received special treatment as we were paying by gift certificate. But at least we could laugh at the experience as we were not paying for the meal. I felt bad for our waiter who had to return time and time again to our table to apologise for ordered menu items that could not be provided including: jalapeno poppers, focaccia, brands of beer. One of us opted for their coffee to be served in a mug, a mug could sadly not be located. The food that did eventuate was not as described. The club sandwich for example was a chicken, cheese and tomato toastie; lacking several elements listed on the menu. Our waiter questioned the chef who responded "that is how they are made now". One also included a sizable chicken bone, I'm unsure if this was also part of the new and improved recipe. Everyone enjoyed the curly fries.
These guys have LOST IT!! 12mths ago, food and service were great. Perfect spot for locals and patrons of the Sage alike. However, the past year has seen the service become hit & miss and the food terrible. We went last night, to discover a menu change a week ago which has resulted in limited choice, no kid's menu and don't even bother ordering the Seahorse wine - it's terrible (couldn't get the Pinot Grigio as they had had a stocktake & couldn't order any, really ). Our Waiter was lovely and helpful last night, but overall, you guys need a health check....you've gone in the wrong direction!
I have stayed here many times. It is the first time to have a meal. I don't want to go. I found a place to sit down in the lobby on the first floor of the hotel and have a quiet meal. There are many options.
