We decided to take a quick spontaneous drive to an unknown location for about 45 minutes, and here we were, Wolfstein, Germany. It's located about 27 kilometers west northwest of Kaiserslautern, and it was a beautiful hilly town. There's a castle and a mine where you can get on a tour if you were there on time (of course we weren't). The village somehow reminded me of Manitou Springs or Green Mountain Falls in Colorado. We stopped at this hotel restaurant called Konigsberg. My boyfriend ordered rahmsteak and I ordered parmesanschnitzel. Parmesanschnitzel is just like chicken parmesan but with schnitzel. It was different, and I do not have any other parmesanschnitzel experience to compare this one to. But it was delicious nonetheless. He loved his steak. I would venture out if we ever go back there again, but it was one of those spontaneous road trips just to find a little town with food and scenery.
