Impecable service, food and ambience...a shame it's located 7,000 miles away from home, but hopefully we'll be able to make it back sometime in the not too distant future. View all feedback.
What Cornelius Gruber doesn't like about Restaurant Aqua:
My wife is vegetarian and I am very allergic to all kinds of seafood, so we send an email in front of the hand with the requirements. It was promised that we could get a special menu for us. My menu was excellent, but the vegetarian menu...was the same food I served without the protein. Is this special prepared, I don't think? The best think, then they have calculated the same price for less food. How to get 3 STARS... View all feedback.

My menu was excellent, but the vegetarian menu...was the same food I served without the protein. Is this special prepared, I don't think? The best think, then they have calculated the same price for less food. How to get 3 STARS and get no vegetarian dinner right. We've been looking forward to this dinner for a long time, but we came out very disappointed.
Before you guys and girls come to me, I've eaten in my share of Michelin star restaurants. Even if I hadn't, my taste buds are entitled to their opinion. First the waitress. All well trained and a class of them. Except the Maitre...D/Headwaiter. He wore another uniform and the only one that makes recommendations for non-recommendation, so my assumption. He said he had no recommendations, but the pigeon was really something special for the cook. Okay, then I went with the My Solidarity menu that had the pigeon. For all the tables that came after that he mentioned nothing about how the pigeon was. He talked about Maibock, how for only a month this hunting thing was allowed, and that 's where she got her venison and it was only for a month. So everyone else got the New Discovery menu, more or less. I'm eavesdropped what I should do, I was alone. I'm sorry he didn't give me the Maibock game. The food was usually good, not disappointing, but my socks stayed up. Then the pigeon came. It was as if someone had peeled the poor bird from a windshield, cut a disc and his heart out and served them in a bath of salt water. Salt water bath is a way to describe. When the Maitre D said it was special for the cook, did he mean that the cook washed his feet and special parts in the broth? The court was unique the most disgusting thing I ever tasted. It was disgusting, but being a trouper who doesn't believe in food, I ate everything. In retrospect, it was a traumatizing experience and I would not have forced myself to eat it. I think the head cover thing knew definitely that the pigeon was not on the way, and so he recommended it to me only from all the people who were sitting there to the same time as I was. Why? Dessert was definitely an upgrade from the rest. The cook came out and talked to every table except me. I thought that was a little weird. But then I had to remember, I was the strange one among all the guests there. I know a lot of people before I fought for lunch. I don't want to protect a place that doesn't want me to be a customer. In fair summary: Dessert: 5 stars food (except pigeon): 4 stars Pigeon: Negative 5 stars MaitreD: Negative 5 stars (if you can treat all your paying customers the same way, then you should not be in the service industry)
Dine here for my husband 60th and I have a major food intolerance which they gladly accommodated and the experience was worth every penny. Thank you Sven.
