Aus dem modernen Gastraum hat man einen schönen Blick auf den Mittellandkanal und die artifizielle Landschaft.Dass die Speisen von Sven Elverfeld über jeden Zweifel erhaben sind, muss hier nicht noch einmal ausführlicher erwähnt werden. In Erinnerung bleiben dennoch solche Nebendarsteller wie die intensiven Erbsen, die die Forelle aus der Lüneburger Heide begleitet haben.Besonders gefallen hat mir die Möglichkeit auch Flaschenweine aus der beeindruckenden Weinkarte zu wählen, und diese nach Verbrauch berechnet zu bekommen, ohne die Flasche leer trinken zu müssen. Eine Möglichkeit von der lediglich teure Prestigeweine ausgenommen sind.Beim Aqua handelt es sich zurecht um eines der besten Restaurants in Deutschland, das ich gerne wieder besuchen werde.

The 10-course dinner menu and two l... read more We made a special trip from Berlin to experience the 3 Michelin star meal we could not have in Berlin (surprisingly enough). The 10-course dinner menu and two lovely bottles of wine were simply superb. It does beg the question of how restaurant of this standing in a remote town of 125,000 survives. Being located directly next to Volkswagen world headquarters must help. Definitely recommend, well worth the diversion from Berlin.

It was promised that we could get a special menu for us. My menu was excellent, but the vegetarian menu...was the same food I served without the protein. Is this special prepared, I don't think? The best think, then they have calculated the same price for less food. How to get 3 STARS and get no vegetarian dinner right. We've been looking forward to this dinner for a long time, but we came out very disappointed.
