The best brisket and pork ribs I?ve ever tasted. It?s only our 3rd time to dine here and we usually order the beef brisket and pork ribs, it?s so tender, juicy and flavorful. I guess there?s no question about that, the crowd you see inside is already a statement. My only concern is the ?SAFETY ISSUE? regarding the uneven floor inside. There are warning signs but people can?t really notice it. Last Saturday 7/9/22 11:30am one older woman on her 60s with her husband was walking inside to line-up (the line was long, it reached up to our table) she suddenly lost her balance as she stepped on the uneven floor and fell down. Fortunately she was ok but her head almost hit the corner of our table. After that incident, we asked her to sit down with the help of two women lining-up. Then they just left the restaurant.

It's over. Evie Mayes in Lubbock, Texas. (Wolforth We heard that this place was the best BBQ and always has a line a mile long! So, we decided to stop at 11:00. Great choice because there was no line at all. We went right in. The order was super fast and easy. Good selection in the menu. We chose a family dinner because there were 3 of us. Family meal was a better cost-effective option than a single plate. It cost us $77.77 and should feed about 3-4 people. (We are fluffy and love to eat. We wanted more food for our ass!? We ordered our 4 pages, potato salad, loaded potato oles, green beans and Jalapeno Cornbread. We literally have 1 maize bread to share with us 3. That was a little crazy. (We fought to die for the grain bread. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and happy! I wouldn't say super aromatic but good. The whole fixine was there so you can serve yourself. After a bit, the whole restaurant was packed. We have our lunch and definitely the desserts! Is that about one????? Ribs were the best part. When I used to live in Odessa this 4 hour round trip to eat at Evie Mae's was well worth the drive. Now, living in east Texas it's not so easy. I sure miss this place. The sausage was good, but not great. The ribs didn't disappoint and didn't want to stay on the bone either. Very tender and juicy with a great flavor. The oh my goodness brisket was awesome. Fork tender, with a great bark. Woof. Seasoned perfectly. The sides of cheese grits, which I enjoyed as much as the bbq. The coleslaw was also top notch. Now dessert. Which I rarely get, but couldn't pass on, because I've had it before. The key lime pie is among the best I've ever had. Nice and sour. Go here if your ever in the Lubbock area. Be prepared for a line, but it's usually not to bad. And don't show up late or you might not get what you came for.
