T... read more During a two week stay we visited Augusta. The food was great... one time we had schnitzel, another curry wurst. Others in our party had spargel and loved it. The beer was great. The owner (man) speaks English as he spent time in the USA. The lady owner is very helpful, but speaks little English. Regardless this is a great place and merits a visit if only to watch the locals.

Yesterday after almost 15 years was again in the augusta. kerl behindm tresen can only one after the other - so not overwhelm if you want to pay kindly, otherwi... read more Yesterday after almost 15 years was again in the augusta. kerl behindm tresen can only one after the other - so not overwhelm if you want to pay kindly, otherwise there is danger that you will be very unfriendly with a 'bist here not the only'. the rude tresen’ king was visibly focused on massaging his ego before the other guests. no wonder that with such theknowing personnel who are crawling turnovers in the cellar and the people prefer to go to brownish. go to the old fritz, who have more humor and behave and know who the coenig is; the paying before the tressen.

Great priced alcohol the male owner was a great host. His mother spoke no English but was such a...lovely person too. We spent so much time there we missed our train to Hannover!!
