Reviews - McBride's Pizza
Reviews summary
Nestled in Wolcott, this restaurant offers a varied menu that has garnered mixed reviews. Patrons rave about the exceptional thin-crust pizza and standout dishes like the Meatball Grinder, consistently complemented by friendly, attentive service. Many patrons reminisce about its nostalgic roots in Waterbury, affirming its pizza retains the same deliciousness they remember. However, some diners have expressed disappointment, particularly with certain entrees like the baked beef dinner, which fell short in flavor and quality. Despite occasional criticisms, the warm atmosphere, reasonable prices, and a cash-only policy make this eatery a notable spot for both takeout and dine-in experiences.

I had a strange bug in my food and told the manager and he told me to just pick it out? I think his name started with an L. I was very upset at this encounter and left with an empty stomach and still had to pay for my food with the strange bug. Willnever come here again
First time here got here to have a night cap ! Watch the last 3 innings of the Yankee game! Oh my goodness the 1 drink ????I had was made perfect ! Thanks Mark awesome are cant wait to come back!
CASH ONLY Place was more of a bar than a restaurant. Had dinner on the left side by our self.
I ordered 2 pizzas, when I picked up they had only 1. I told the bar/keep owner I had ordered 2. He told me I was mistaken and the girl who took the order was good at her job and had attitude! I ended up ordering garlic bread he suggested pepperoni onit. The cost for 1 pizza and garlic bread was 30.00! When I got home my daughter in law said she had heard me order both! Iwill not be going back. Bad attitude!

We ordered 2 large cheese pizza 's. I picked them up in the bar area. The bartender was friendly and helpful. He helped carry the pizza to my car. The pizza crust was thin crust and very good! Will definitely go back!
We wouldn’t go anywhere else. The pizza is fantastic, and the service is always excellent. We mostly do takeout, Mark is a class act who runs a wonderful business. The pizza is always phenomenal and Mark is always so appreciative. So fortunate to have him so close to home.
Used to go back when they were in the north end of waterbury...small room along side a popular local bar....pizza was what we came for...30 years later... for me at least....took mom and dad back.. still the same..only the juke box was missing... pizza was what we came for... and they did not dissapoint.... just as i remembered it...thin crispy crust.. simple cheese ..sausage topping.. in a room filled with old time waterbury photos my parents remember ...better than me.... 10 of 10 will be back again Parking: better than where they used to be... Wheelchair accessibility: dad was in a chair....sidewalk a little tricky...but in and out and inside to the room on the left... no problems

Mark, the bartender, crafts the best margaritas, and their thin crust pizzas are fantastic. Service is excellent, perfect for a dine-in dinner experience. Expect to spend around $20–30 per person. Food: 4/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5. Highly recommend trying the Medium Cheese Pizza.
My experience at McBride's Pizza was outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a dinner outing. The prices were quite reasonable, with each person spending around $30-50 on their meal. I highly recommend the medium cheese pizza; it was simply delicious. I look forward to returning to sample more items from their menu.

Great pizza at an affordable price. The setting is casual and inviting. The pizza is truly delicious, made with fresh ingredients, and the crust is crispy on the bottom while slightly chewy. It comes straight from the oven to your table, so it needs a few minutes to cool down (unless you enjoy burning the roof of your mouth!). The prices are also very reasonable—just $13 for a large pizza that’s half mushroom and half pepperoni, which is enough to satisfy three quite hungry people.
ALL TIME FAVORITE PIZZA PLACE BEEN GOING SINCE I WAS A KID WITH MY FAMILY NOW I BRING MY OWN FAMILY...LOVE IT
This is one of my favorite pizza places. I really enjoy there grinders and pizza. It's a nice place to dine in also. If your looking for a place to go have a few drinks and ear good food. This is the place for you. It's also a place to take your family along.
This restaurant consistently offers great food in generous portions. I've been a regular for years, and it's definitely more than just another pizza place. The food is always tasty, and the staff is friendly and eager to chat. I asked about their pizza crust, and they make their own dough fresh in the kitchen every day, which is impressive. My top three favorites are: 1) Italian sausage pizza, 2) tomato basil ricotta pizza, and 3) meatball grinder. I rarely leave disappointed, and the more often you visit, the more at home you feel.
McBrides is a popular place to get a pizza, drink a drink or hold an event in his room. We ordered two middle pizzas to go to their house with another couple for dinner and sat and had a drink while we waited. Our three high drinks had good tastes. This was the first time that I have ever seen that the take-out pizzas are used in bags and not in cartons, but regular cartridges to this packaging. We had a Clam casino to learn on arrival, the woman of our girlfriend likes her other Clam pizza with mussels, garlic and bacon. Notified. She prefers the mussel pizza without all paprika. The other pizza was sausage and mushroom. I liked the cook makes some of the slices really thin, so they don't look as hungry or watching how their weight can eat. The bottom of the pizza was nicely browned and the crust had a nice density.
