Small, popular, family owned restaurant with very good food. If you are in the mood for fresh tasting seafood or Portuguese food, you should definitely come here. The food was excellent the grilled octopus $25) was tender with a char grilled taste;the lobster in the marisqueira $29, mixed seafood in garlic tomato sauce w/rice) had a just cooked/not too firm texture; thecataplana com mariscos $29, mixed seafood in a white wine sauce w/paprika /or saffron/turmeric not sure which one but thesauce/soup had a distinct orangish yellow hue) was fragrant with a robust seafood broth. The portion sizes are generous no needfor appetizer) and pricing is fair/average. Food is cooked from scratch so there is a wait time.

The Food was amazing. We were three couples on a Saturday evening. We waited about 25 min for a table but definitely worth the wait. We ordered the large Sangria and enjoyed it a lot. I ordered the grilled octopus, wife baked cod, and our friends otherseafood and lamb dishes. Everything was amazing, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Really good portions and reasonable prices forthe the type of food. Definitely recomended.

Loved the small restaurant atmosphere. The Baccalau(salt cod) was not soaked long enough to remove the salt. Both orders at table were too salty. That being said, I don't use salt to cook so It may have been me. The other two meals were great.

I will start with today and work back in time. Got there at 21:40 today, the kitchen was shut. According to the stated time, they should have been open until 22:00, first bad. Asked for a beer, an empty glass and a beer bottle was put in front of me, with no offer to poor the beer into the glass. Sum up, no food, poor bar service. Now, to go back in time. I ordered a fish dish, don't remember exactly what fish it was but when it came out it was gutted and that was it. It was deep fried with head, tail, skin fins, how disgusting. After they removed the undesirable parts of the fish, I lost my appetite. As an alternative, he gave me some meat, which was like eating boot leather. I was not charged for the meal.Another occasion, the bill. I paid a bill by credit card and got surcharges for the transaction. This is not permitted in Massachusetts. I need to say no more. Not often, I give a bad review, but I think this was necessary.
