Nestled in a charming locale, the restaurant offers a mix of traditional pub fare and a warm atmosphere, making it a popular spot for diners. While some guests have noted delays in service and occasional inconsistencies in food quality—such as burnt Yorkshire puddings and overcooked stuffing—many have praised the generous portion sizes, especially the Sunday Roast options. The welcoming staff and excellent value for money further enhance the dining experience. Regular patrons appreciate the consistently good quality and a varied menu, making it a go-to destination for comfort food enthusiasts. Overall, it's a venue worth revisiting.

What DavidC680 dislikes about Western Arms Pub:
Like a previous reviewer. we visited on Sunday, 4th July. Quite a long wait before our order taken, and then a further 35 minute wait for carveries to arrive. Our Yorkies were also burnt we just didn't eat that part, but poor quality control in allowing that to be served. The stuffing balls were also crunchy and overcooked. I recently visited this restaurant for the first time in a while and I was very impressed with the food. It was exceptional and I couldn't find any faults. I highly recommend it!
When we arrived at the restaurant during lunchtime, I could tell that it was a popular spot for locals as it was quiet with only a few patrons. The food was excellent, with my friend enjoying the well-presented Macaroni cheese topped with chopped spring onions. My husband and I shared a tasty Chicken platter with delicious dips and tender meat. The salad was also well-prepared and flavorful, with a tasty dressing. Another friend ordered the sweet chilli linguine which was beautifully flavored.
After completing a 10-mile bike ride, I was in need of some food. It had been a while since I last visited this restaurant, but I decided to give it a try. I opted for the Sunday Roast with beef, and was impressed with the generous portions and delicious flavors. At £10, it was a great value. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place and plan on returning in the future.
Quite simply love this place, the food is always cooked well and reasonably priced and the staff treat us and everyone else exceptionally well! Recommend the gammon and eggs and copious amounts of Stella………
