This is a great way to spend a few hours. It really did fly by and the kids were entertained the entire time. However, I do have a couple suggestions to truly make this a 5 star experience. A lot of the exhibits look like they haven't been updated or changed since the 80s or 90s. I don't think kids are very impressed by super Nintendo style graphics or simple technologies that were revolutionary but are now modern day occurrences, such as motion detection or light bulbs. Also, the static electricity machine was either down or not turned on when we visited, but had no sign or guidance explaining as to why.
This was a fun little experience for my family. We were staying in the Dells over spring break and looking for something to do. Our hotel gave us free passes, so we had to check it out. Turns out, I would've paid the entrance fee. So many neat interactive science stations that you can explore at your own pace. Some of the things could definitely use an update, but most of it was super cool and fun for my kids. I especially liked the Soviet space station. The gentleman working there was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are in the Dells looking for a short family activity.
It was not as good as it once was when it was Robot World. I am glad to see positive reviews from families w/ kids that never knew Robot World because the hands-on exhibits are fun and educational. If the business is remodeling the southern most building where the Robot World tour began, maybe this place could be better than Robot World was because I would agree that unrelated exhibits during that tour didn't really belong like the old dude bathing. I really hope they are remodeling that southern most building because the elevator ride at the beginning of the tour was very entertaining, making you feel like you were leaving earth like you would in a space shuttle. I hope they kept most of the decor lighting in that place because I still think it could serve their new focus of space travel. I loved that one room with a bridge across a mirrored room making it seem like you were i space.I liked these two exhibits (Electronic Roulette I forgot the title but it was like an electronic slot machine).
We had the best time it took us a couple hours but could of stayed longer but had to get in the road. The girls LOVED come to this place and we will be back. It was priced well and people were so friendly! Thank you
Was great fun when i was 12. Nothing changed except I brought my own kids now. Too bad the Tommy Bartlett land, air and water show is no more.
