The restaurant review in English would be:
The dining area was spotless and well-kept. The attractions at the water park were fantastic and our children had a blast. We also loved dining at the brewpub. My only gripe would be the numerous taxes and hidden fees on purchases within the resort (which seems to be common for hotel water parks). That being said, overall it was a positive (albeit slightly pricey) experience... View all feedback.
What Sightseer795727 doesn't like about Rattler's Cantina:
The water park and arcade are great, but the daytime staff is much better than the night staff. I noticed that the gym is only open from 6 am to 2 pm, but there was a sign on the door instructing guests to see the front desk to access it between 2 pm and 6 am. When I asked the front desk for access, they said it was not possible due to safety concerns. It was frustrating because there is no supervision during the day... View all feedback.
Our 4-year-old daughter had a great time at the indoor water park, which was perfect for her age group. We saw kids of all ages enjoying the facilities. Special mention to the lifeguard on duty last Friday at 10am at the indoor water park, who was patient and attentive with our daughter on the snake slide. The hotel did a great job of accommodating our party of three rooms on the same floor. However, the VIP check-in process was disappointing as I had to wait over 20 minutes while a manager ignored me and did not open another computer despite other computers being available. The room prices were good value, the pool area was impressive and well maintained, and the location of the hotel was very convenient. Overall, a positive experience with a few areas for improvement in customer service.

When I asked the front desk for access, they said it was not possible due to safety concerns. It was frustrating because there is no supervision during the day, and the daytime staff had previously told me that someone could open the gym if requested at night. Overall, not a great experience.

Is this the best hotel you 'll ever stay in? Nope. Is it clean, fairly comfortable and good to sleep in? Yup. We had a few issues with it, but overall it 's a decent option for Wisconsin Dells. Cons: Check in. Up until then, my husband was impressed with the texts and pre checkin communication. We did the self checkin at 3 p.m. (knowing of course the real check in is at 4). But no prob got our wristbands and the machine told us we 'd get a text when our room was ready. So we went off to enjoy Tom Foolerys. We bought the park pass (and side note, found out our room number during that process since we paid using our wristbands) and enjoyed that for awhile. Then we got our bags at 4 and waited in the lobby for the text. Nothing. By 4:30/4:45 we noticed a huge mass of people waiting with their bags and lining up at the counter. I finally asked a few people close to us if they knew what was going on apparently the auto text service wasn 't working and everyone was lining up to find their room . Well, we had our number (due to learning it at the Tom Foolery desk) so we went up to our room and sure enough, we were able to scan in and the room was ready. We never did get that text saying our room was ready so it was a good thing we asked and it would have been appreciated if staff walked around to tell people what was going on and get things situated instead of guests wandering around and getting confused. We went to shower that night after using the waterpark and found the shampoo and bodywash completely empty (built in little containers on the wall). I can 't believe they wouldn 't have checked on that when preparing the room. Long story short despite several calls and going down to the front desk, it took them 48 hours to get us shampoo/conditioner (they didn 't bring bodywash). By then we have gone to Walgreens. So, bring your own shower stuff. Room cleaning only twice during our 5 days there did they make the beds. And the second time, we had to wait there for 40 minutes while they cleaned our room (from about 4 5 p.m. when we thought they 'd be done by then). I feel like they don 't have a great system for cleaning the rooms and do the bare minimum. And weird things too like we 'd come back in the middle of the day and there was a huge bag of bedding in a corner of our room. It was there for 3 days until I saw a cleaner in the hall and asked why it was there, turns out she thought it was ours... so yeah, maybe some better communication and approach to cleaning rooms? One drawer for clothes it was a huge room, but one drawer, so yeah, made it hard when we stayed there for 4 night/5 days and maybe wanted some space to put things and not live out of suitcases for the week. Pillows and mattresses weren 't the best not awful, but mattresses were little springy and in need of some updates. Lots of pillows, but not great ones. Pros: The resort really was clean and well kept. Maybe those issues with the room, but nothing to discourage us from saying it 's a decent place to stay. Food. Lots of good dining options. Everything 's a bit expensive, but honestly, the times we ate at the resort (the buffet, Ivory restaurant and the Wisconsin Brew Pub next to Tom Foolerys), the food really was good as were the staff and service. Wristband payment/system was great super handy to come and go from our room and use facilities (seems like everything except the lockers at the waterpark). Everything is well organized for the layout. I did feel bad for anyone staying on the main level in the hall to Tom Foolerys (it 's a Quiet Zone but pretty much every group walking by was pretty loud late at night). But overall everything is easy to get to. Waterparks. The indoor one was great! Outdoor, meh. But we enjoyed it. Wish the Tom Foolery 's park pass was included in everything (the park itself really isn 't great, so feels like it would be an easy thing to include for guests since there 's not a ton there that you pay for). Location, good. P
We’ve been traveling to Kalahari for 11 years. We really enjoyed our trip this year. We reserved a cabana for our indoor day (because it was going to rain all day and we knew it would be very busy) and we were glad we did! I do wish on inclement weather days hotel guests were given priority for access and seating. For our outdoor day we reserved a table and were really happy with the service. We enjoyed the addition of the reusable cup with free refills, the fact that the wristband is now your room key, and we enjoyed the towel checkin and out (the towels are nicer and there aren’t dirty, wet towels laying all over).
