Great value for money at this restaurant. The quality and taste of the food should not be underestimated. The Chinese dishes are particularly delicious, something you don't often find at other leisure spots. It's definitely worth a try, and now it's become my favorite place to eat. View all feedback.

Have used the River Queen for years and it has always been average. On this visit we got some salt and pepper chips which cost twice that of a normal portion of chips and you get half the amount, if they were made properly this would not be a problem but what we got was a portion of half cooked chips which had been tossed in the wok with some garlic, onion and spring onions, very poor and no hint of salt or chilli. My friends and I live in wigan and we travel to New Brighton fishing almost every week. As we come out of the Merseyside tunnel we order our meals from River Queen. The staff are very friendly and polite the food is excellent. My wife always asks me to bring her a meal home. NEVER had a bad meal yet and that is backed up by all my fishing friends. Only one down side. They are shut Sundays. Still they need a rest.

Enjoyed our meal. Can't stand cucumber, so was pleasantly surprised as our beef mushroom had a little bit of courgette in. Cheerful staff, tasty food.
Normally good, sometimes a bit hit and miss, Chinese food average, reasonable prices.
Sometimes gets the order wrong but normally fantastic
