What Berndt Jordan doesn't like about Zur Neyetalsperre:
Unstrukturiert und unpersönlicher Service zu Premiumpreisen - 20 Minuten nach dem Kaffee kam der Kuchen. Für ein schnelles Bier nach dem Spaziergang sicher geeignet View all feedback.
We recently wanted to invite our neighbours to Sunday dinner and I looked up high and low on tripadvisor for this special country house style place in the mountain landscape. christian's gas house seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. from leverkusen is the ride...from to wipperfurth approx. 45 minutes when you drive in a cozy, Sunday pace. we came across a very rural road and found the restaurant in a small valley. so good. there were many free parking spaces outside, which was also positiw. in the inner there was a cordial greeting that we were simply taken something back by having only a few lunches, we had the place almost completely for ourselves at least for the first hour or so. the lunch menu on Sunday was rather economical, but we could all find something to eat. I was really excited about seasonal Brat-Gans, which was available as confit de gans with loads of chestnuts, red cabbage and serviette knoedel (as I thought the question price of 27 euro for this dish was quite steep I found that it was all quite dry, even when I asked for extra sauce. others in the party had currywurst and bratkartoffeln, top of the plaques, etc. my wife went for a court that almost includes excellent by serviettenknoedel. she seemed to enjoy it. since we were in our main meal, surprisingly the place began to fill. in the act when we came to order dessert warn that it was some time to bridge our food on the table, especially as a large group of family friends had occupied the back. we were not under a big time print, but surely the service was extended as more and more people arrived for afternoon tea/coffee and mountainous waffels. to see the waffles on the other tables, asked us to order them also for dessert- fresh made with loads of warm cherry cream. a coffee at the end has just made the trick to round off a beautiful enough afternoon. at the end of the afternoon I came to pay and I think I jumped in the kitchen to christian. he wanted to try his English, which was nice. what was a shock, but it was the fact that he did not accept plastic cards only cash. when our meal came to 150 euros, it made me stunn. fortunately, I just had enough money in my package, but so they were warned that they needed money to eat here.
After an extensive hike around the dam on Saturday afternoon, we would not have done that better. A small cup of coffee and a piece of apple cake were ordered. A large cup of coffee was served. Milk was forgotten, the dough of the apple cake was still raw igittigitt! the apples partially uncut with core housing bäh! Advertising was accepted plaumen cake as replacement. Okay, then it turned out, pancakes didn't exist anymore. New replacement offer: ice. Unfortunately there were no strawberries anymore. Finally 3 balls of ice on account of the house. Order without cream, get tastefully neutral with cream at best. Overall, only the natural location is recommended.
After our hike around the beautiful Neyetalsperre we were looking forward to returning to the outdoors quite attractive half-timbered house restaurant. The tables were very clean and attractively covered. The service (Chefin and Son were friendly, but slow and inmompetent. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the food. We had to wait almost an hour for the ordered standard dishes (breakfasts and sulches, although the number of guests was very manageable at the end of the noon. We were annoyed that other guests who had ordered the same food were served before us. The quality of the dishes was not satisfactory. Although the supplement salad was tasty, the meat was not even in taste and the roast potatoes. In this quality, prices are far higher.
That's what I expected. Sog. Large breakfast was served as a sweetly clapped breakfast with dried bread slices... Not recommended
More by chance one had landed here once when one took a walk at the Neyetalsperre in the beautiful Bergisches Land. A typical mountainous half-timbered house laughed at us by the leaves of the trees. Between the left of the house you saw a large candelaber standing, and at the end of the inn there was a wild rose shrub. Since it was Saturday afternoon, fresh waffles with cherries and cream were read on the sign in front of the house. The weather was good, so everything was fresh and quickly served on the terrace under a chestnut tree. Great ambience, you felt like on holiday. The price slightly above normal, but it was worth it. As one could read on the map, the son and mother of this Kleinod lead in the Bergisch. In the late afternoon it was also quickly filled in the house itself so that you should book better for the evening. On the menu there was still: Here you can enjoy breakfasts, cradles, but you can also enjoy selected fish dishes. At the next stroll at the Neyetalsperre, I'm guaranteed to stop here again, because it's just a fantastic area and the kitchen is excellent
