But honestly, the only quality I can see in this restaurant is that it is CHEAP and they serve large portions. If you are looking for a cheap and generous thai meal and you don't care about food quality, maybe this is your place. The ambience is poor: we went through a small thai supermarket to reach the dining room, where we (2 persons) were invited to seat at a large table, shared with the owner. No privacy, of course. We had to socialize with the owner necessarily and we were a bit surpised when he started to talk very bad about the guy who left him a non positive review here on Tripadvisor. This sounded completely inappropriate, and we got the impression that he was trying to dissuade us from leaving a negative review too. The food was cooked extremely quickly and it was disappointing. The problem was not the quality of the ingredients, the problem was the lack of professionality of the chef in preparing the dishes, and, as a consequence of that, flavours were not good. The worst detail of our meal was that the curry paste was not completely melt in the curry souce, therefore some solid residuals of this paste were still present to ruin the dish. If you love well-crafted thai cuisine, we do not suggest you this restaurant at all.

Th... read more We found out about Sabaai Dee on Trip Advisor and had a great evening there. The food was brilliant, freshly cooked infront of us and served in big portions. The couple who run the restaurant were very friendly and happily cooked up a selection of their favourite dishes for us, as well as creating special dishes. We were a large party and it was easy, fast and tasty. The restaurant only has a few tables and is hidden behind a shop so the atmosphere was very relaxed with minimal background noise. Highly recommended!

Although it was shut th... read more Having arrived in Frauenfeld for one night only, we looked on Tripadvisor for somewhere to eat and decided to check out this restaurant. Although it was shut they decided to reopen for us when they realised we were a party of 9! The food was wonderful, freshly cooked and very authentic, and the couple who run the restaurant were very friendly and welcoming.
