We are regulars at this little gem in the medieval center of Winterthur. We especially love summer evenings on their backyard terrace or on the street (pedestrians only) in front of the Cafe. The cuisine is solid Swiss basics with a touch of italianità, mouth-watering and tasty. What most makes come back are the Hunolds who make us feel at home.

My husband brought me here after being introduced to the place by a few friends we were looking for some good Swiss food and had just fled yet another rural place with empty dining tables and old codgers staring at us leerily from the Stammtisch. We were delighted to end up at Restaurant Obergass, which is traditional yet very well tended and has a good mix of rather cheerful clientele. The food is not too heavy, and the roasted vegetable salad is out of this world. Waitstaff is professional yet friendly. We will definitely be back!
