The place is a very cozy and intimate bar, which allows to really listen to the band playing, and no chit chat whatsoever. The featured artists consist of mostl... read more The place is a very cozy and intimate bar, which allows to really listen to the band playing, and no chit chat whatsoever. The featured artists consist of mostly local, but also some international musicians and lets the audience pay for them in full. They have a cute, but well stocked bar and the two blokes running it are not only caring, attentive hosts, but also characters in their own right, with plenty stories to tell, if asked. You can eat dinner with the musicians before the gig, upon prior request, and you 'll get to meet some of Winterthur 's Jazz Fans, or just be alone, if you choose to. Bands play mosty unplugged, the lost star concerns the overall audio quality, which could be better, and sometimes strange, overexposed lighting of the scene. Esse Musik Bar is still a great place for music fans, a couples ' quiet night out and also all those 'dabbling ' in Jazz.

The presented artists usually consist of local but also some international musicians and let the audience pay for them to the full.
