the bistro is really good for a museum café. it's still a very good caffe, but I always expect it when it comes to a museumcafé. the personal was the most friendly caffe staff I ever met in Switzerland. eating was pretty good, but I love the coffee especially the latte machiato. So if you would like to visit the photo museum, I would recommend this place for snacks or even for meals. they wouldn't be disappointed. View all feedback.
What Leonie Gisler doesn't like about Bistro George:
Schwaches Zei... This bistro has excellent small and medium meal times at very favorable trips in a peaceful atmosphere. sure one of my favorites in winterthur. the vegetarian dishes are particularly good. friendly staff and on the grounds of the photo museum, which is always worth visiting.
If you are young and fit it is possible to come to this place on foot , otherwise take No.2 bus from Winterthur SBB station. The bistro is in the main building of the photo-museum where the library is. This place is always filled with...local winterthurers therefore you might as well make a reservation either for lunch and dinner beforehand. Closed on Monday and during the summer holiday season it can be closed in PM. The lunch menu is modest but fresh salad buffet is nice and tasty. I often have vegetable and bacon Quiche. e.g. baked potatoes, small size pork stake and Pasta alle cinque Pi is the one that I can recommend. The family Vollenweider of Talackerhof in Illnau produces refreshing and excellent ice cream for this bistro. The waitress is very charming and friendly (apologize for my personal opinion! .
