Backwerk Winterthur is located opposite the main railway station and is open 24 hours daily and on weekends (Fri/Sat). When you enter the store, take a to-go ba... read more Backwerk Winterthur is located opposite the main railway station and is open 24 hours daily and on weekends (Fri/Sat). When you enter the store, take a to-go bag or tablet for your goods, go the line and choose everything food items from...cookies, desserts, sandwiches, bread, pizza slices hot dogs, wraps, bottle / can drinks, a premixed hot beverage machine and more and pay for your purchase at the end of the line. I packed a muffin and the taste and taste was about the same as what you could get prepacked at one of the local discount markets, so not impressive. The employee was not very friendly at my visit. They offer a seating area with padded chairs and chairs in front of the shop. Not really impressed, nor would I have a need again.

As you enter the shop, grab a To-Go... read more The Backwerk Winterthur is located across from the main train station and is open every day and weekends (Fri/Sat) 24 hours. As you enter the shop, grab a To-Go bag or tray for your goods, walk the line and pick out whatever food item from cookies, desserts, sandwiches, breads, pizza slices hot dogs, wraps, bottled/canned beverages, a pre-mixed hot beverage machine and more and pay for your purchase at the end of the line. I grabbed a muffin and the flavor and taste was about the same as what one could get pre-packaged at one of the local discount markets, so not impressive. The staff person was not very friendly on my visit. They do offer a seating area of padded stools and chairs at the front of the store. Not really impressed, nor would I have a need to return again.
