Anything Sweet More Cafe - Winterset

I visited Winterset for work and needed a place that offered internet and food. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly! I came in to get some work done and realized I forgot my laptop charger in Omaha. The staff graciously provided me with a charger, which I believe was from the owner! I'll definitely return the next time I'm in Winterset. The food was outstanding, and the cookies were absolutely to die for!

We took my mom out for lunch yesterday after visiting the Farmer's Market and taking advantage of a sidewalk sale. I ordered the German burger, which featured lean pork topped with bacon and sauerkraut. It was absolutely fantastic! I also indulged in a blackberry-berry pie that I can't even begin to describe— it was incredibly delicious. My sister and mom chose the ravioli special, which came with a side salad, a breadstick, a drink, and dessert. They received four large, house-made meat and cheese ravioli served with a mushroom and meat sauce. The dessert was a rhubarb and peach bread pudding that simply melted in your mouth. And all of this for just $7.99! The prices are very reasonable. The café has a cozy atmosphere, and the owners and staff make you feel right at home. Don't forget to try the German chocolates they keep in the old vault— there's nothing like it anywhere else. I'm really looking forward to the Apple Dumpling Gang Night, where one of the original actors will be sharing behind-the-scenes stories from the movie, and the meal will feature various dumplings with classic American apple dumplings for dessert. The film nights are also something I look forward to, as the meals are themed around the movie! I definitely want to try the chocolate roasted chicken on Bike Night!

What a lovely café located in the town square of Winterset! Lisa, the owner, is simply amazing. She prepared a delightful homemade lunch for me, my mother, and a friend. Since I have Celiac disease, I reached out a few days prior to our visit while we were touring the covered bridges. Lisa took extra care to ensure that I had a tasty gluten-free meal. She made a delicious dish with meat jam, potatoes, green beans, and a flourless cake. The meat was incredibly moist despite being flour-free. My mother, who isn't gluten-free, ordered the award-winning quiche and even brought a second slice home! I highly recommend stopping by for lunch if you're in Winterset or passing through.

Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon quality food and people. Had a great chat with owner/Koch Lisa about Doctor Who during a mesmerizing Tuna Melt. The perfect amount of food for lunch before checking the six covered bridges that Dot Madison County. -P.S. selection of warm biscuits after each meal (I recommend the Double Chocolate Chip one).

One of my favorite places to eat for lunch in town! Located on the South West side of the square! Food was great and the prices were even better! Very friendly service I would recommend a lunch date here for anybody!
