I am highly disappointed to find out the owner of this place sold it! He was from New York and everything came out so authentic to the northern states, as I am from New Jersey. I ordered my food around 8:05 and I am still sitting here waiting for my food at 8:57pm. Oh ended up getting the correct order at 9:15/9:30 since I have a time stamp of when I got off the phone with my husband who was highly upset. Not only was the service poor. I realized and asked the clerk where the usual guys was I forgot his name but he was bald and very nice. I now know they sold it to a group of Arabic owners now. I was listening to there whole conversation in as they were taking up the entire restaurant with a meeting it seemed like. In addition the new owner was yelling at his cook about the food who the cook seemed to be a minor as he looked very young. His excuse for it taking so long was that the original cook had to leave cause he got a call from his wife. It seemed like this owner did not care about his employees as it could have been a real emergency. My food when it was suppose to be ready came out wrong I asked for half pepperoni with green peppers and half pineapple. The original owner always knew what me and my husband wanted and now I have to wait an hour for one large pizza and 10 wings. I will not be coming back here at all! I used to be a restaurant manager at several locations and I don’t believe that this is how you should conduct yourself from a business standpoint. I miss will surely Marc! And just to reply to owners responseFirstly no one was going to give anything back until I called my husband and he was going to come into the restaurant while your supervisor or partners or who ever was in there having a meeting and he was going to raise hell. In addition to that I apologize if you felt that was a racial slur, however you all were speaking in Arabic in the entire restaurant so sorry for my assumptions. This does not excuse the fact of you yelling at your employees because they were overwhelmed with order. Marc was always in the back helping and always had an apron on making food and ensuring that thing were done properly. I hope you follow in his footsteps!
My friends have been going here for a while and telling me to try it out. We got their special with the California Ave pizza and the zeppolis were amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious. New favorite spot. Very affordable and better quality than most in the area.
Myself and my 2 sons stopped by for pizza before a haircut and noticed that they made cheesesteak which is my husbands favorite. We ordered two to pick up after the haircut. Husband said it was the best he had in a really long time and he is very much a snob. My kids and I enjoyed the pizza and garlic knots. There was a wide selection of hot sauces and pizza spice toppings that were easy to access. I wasn’t expecting it it be as good as it was. We are only in this area for haircuts but may need to make haircuts and pizza a thing.Kid-friendliness: They have highchairsWheelchair accessibility: There is a handicap accessible table
More than just the best pizza in Orlando, this was the best pizza I’ve ever had. I can not recommend highly enough!
I had a wonderful experience at Pizza Ave in the past, enjoying their delicious pizza and friendly staff. Everything is typically fresh, especially their Sicilian pie, which is fantastic. However, during my most recent visit on November 4th, I was disappointed. The new owner wasn’t actively participating in the operations, leaving one young lady in the kitchen to manage all the orders by herself. One customer ended up with the wrong pizza, and the staff appeared to be overwhelmed. Unfortunately, it seems like it might be time for me to look for a new pizza place. A big thank you to the hardworking girl in the back for everything you do. Wishing you the best with the new owner.
