What Richard W doesn't like about Krungthep Tea Time:
Manage your expectations appropriately. If you are anticipating Thai cuisine with a unique twist, you will be let down. The dishes here are unmistakably American, loaded with excessive amounts of fat and sugar. The Thai elements are barely noticeable. Personally, I felt a slight queasiness after consuming dishes that were overly oily and sweet; this experience was no exception. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch View all feedback.
The quality of their tea is high, and it is served in large mugs, which I appreciate as a tea drinker. The price of $5 per cup is a bit steep for my liking, but I do love that the tea is served at the perfect temperature for immediate enjoyment. This attention to detail sets them apart from larger corporate chains that often serve overly hot tea. One drawback of this restaurant is its small and often crowded space. With only six or seven tables, it can be difficult to find seating during peak hours. The atmosphere is quiet, mostly filled with young and hip clientele, making for good conversation but also the risk of overhearing nearby conversations. Overall, I consider this cafe to be a great spot with a slightly awkward atmosphere. The bathrooms are clean but could use some sprucing up, and occasionally the tables and chairs feel sticky from dessert residue. If the restaurant is approaching its 10-year anniversary, I would suggest they consider making some changes, such as introducing new dishes, playing snappy jazz music, adding some plants and color, and improving the acoustics. However, if business is already running smoothly, then perhaps these suggestions can be ignored.

The drink selection is impressive, with unique options like Matcha Milk Tea and Pesto Chicken Larb sandwich. The teas are deliciously unique and the sauces used in the sandwiches are perfection. And don't even get me started on the desserts - the Witch is simply amazing. If you haven't already, make sure to add this restaurant to your must-visit list.
My boyfriend adores the Gra-Prow with Thai chilis, while I am a fan of the Tomyum Goong. I have never enjoyed shrimp in a sandwich until I tasted it here! The sandwiches are reasonably priced and come with a side salad.
I absolutely adore the homemade dressing. It is light, flavorful, and doesn't overpower the salad greens.
