Contribute FeedbackCafe de France offers a charming atmosphere reminiscent of classic French dining, but the experience is far from consistent. While some patrons rave about impeccable service and expertly crafted dishes, others lament high prices, small portions, and mediocre food. Discrepancies in service, like the absence of bread plates, have raised eyebrows, leading to a few diners feeling underwhelmed. Despite these mixed reviews, the restaurant has its loyal fans who appreciate its intimate ambiance and quality wine list. For those seeking an authentic French culinary experience, the restaurant presents a tantalizing yet unpredictable option.
Had a wonderful lunch a few days ago. I always enjoyed French food, so I thought I would try this place in winter park, and I'm glad I did. I ordered the roasted Canard duck. Delicious! It is cooked with a very tasty orange, honey with spice glaze and a vegetable cake type of side. My only criticism is that the portions are small, but I was led to the fact that the dinner portions are larger. I hope it can be a little expensive. Anyway, I finished the meal with a serving cream brulee. Yummy! And the staff was excellent. Very helpful, polite, well maintained and professional. I recommend Cafe de France, and I must return to dinner soon. Give them an attempt... you won't be disappointed!
Excellent service. Escargot was great. Lammrücke served as a recommended medium rarely. Especially this evening the sea mussels were served with 3 large scallops on a mushroom risotto. Fish was black bass. Dessert was cream brulee. Only disappointment was that they only have beer and wine.
OMG! Everything, I mean, everything was delicious!!!!!! For appetizer, had terrain and escargot. Soup- wild mushrooms Bisque, French onion soup. entrance rack of lamb, duck and house special vein ossobuco. Desserts apple cake, crepe, cream roe. Enjoy any dish served!
Phenomenal little jewel on Park Avenue can not believe that we just discovered it (20 years later! The Escargot is amazing, my husband LOVED the chicken liver salad, and the divers scallops were spirit blown. Well-hardened wine list not huge, but all listed is exceptional (and to a great value too! Can't wait to come back to dinner!
Escargot, French Onion Soup, Veal chops (it was a chef special not always on the menu) and Creme Brule. All were excellent as always at this place. We come here whenever we really want it to be special and intimate.
